Most likely a lot. Same with the ridiculously fast sell out of MSG by the Black Keys -
Your Favorite Nuances/Parts of Wilco Songs
opsopcopolis replied to choo-choo-charlie's topic in Just A Fan
Somebody might have said this already, but Jeff playing the muted strings under the solo at the end of Muzzle of Bees has to be one of my all time favorite moments. So perfect and so so simple -
Nice read, thanks for that.

I just don't like him or Phish. Trust me, I've tried, I just can't get into them at all. Probably has something to do with getting big into Umphrey's before ever listening to Phish. But enough Phish talk. I need to see the ABB again soon before they finish up

Wilco - Minneapolis State Theatre, 12/6/11

I wish they were playing sets like this in September -
Thats fair. I can't stand Trey, so I probably shouldn't have said anything haha. Apparently Derek doesn't even know what is happening with his right hand. I'll have to see if I can find the interview, but I remember him saying that once he tried to slow it down to show somebody and he couldn't

^ you must just not enjoy the style then because I a good chunk of his stuff to be some of the most engaging music around. Comparing Trey and Derek is a joke. Trey couldn't come near Derek in terms of melody

Thats an awesome setlist. -
I'm surprised at the comments on Derek's playing. I've always thought of him as one of the most soulful guitar players alive.

I can't seem to find a video of Blue Sky, so I'll just ask. Who soloed over it?
-
^ what'd you think of the show? I've heard a bunch of people say (as said in that thread) that Gregg was playing/singing very poorly and the band seemed a little off
-
I just listened back through this show, and I realized that I forgot how hilarious some of the banter is. Some real gems in there

American Songwriter's top 50 albums of 2011
opsopcopolis replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Just A Fan
Any list like that that does not contain the Tedeschi Trucks Band album automatically loses credibility for me -
Where can I find the full list?
-
I always wanted to hear them do Any Major Dude. Have they ever actually played it live?
-
^ people still listen to radio?
-
I guess it'd make some sense financially, but honestly I don't see it happening anytime soon. Definitely not by the end of next year
-
Nice. I'll be taping, so let me know if you want a copy

U2torrents is great as is U2start (I'm not sure if they have lossless yet or not, but they have most recordings as direct downloads). As for officially released live stuff, I've gotten/made some great rips of the various official dvds (Slane Castle and Vertigo from Chicago being the most recent)
