Sounds like something I would do.

Miss the important catch, get hit in the slats with the ball, then trip on your shoelaces and fall down. Brutal.

Thanks Man, I knew I could count on you. That's him!

Wow, this is a mindblower. It's about a guy living his life in reverse. Very hard to follow the dialogue since you start at the end of a conversation and work backwards. Very strange. Edit: Just saw that the Kindle is now $259 with U.S. Wireless. I'm intrigued...

Wow, you have to feel for Matt Holliday but that was one of the ugliest outfield plays I have seen in a long time. Rockies won!

I'm no metal expert but I did really like the Baroness "Red album" and now apparently they have a "Blue album" that's out. I'm going to have to check it out.

That's my biggest gripe with Netflix. I can't count the number of times I get a disk that is completely unplayable, or you get halfway through and it freezes, or skips scenes. I would say it's definietly Netflix and not your Player. I figure the disks are like rental cars, people are not really treating them with the utmost respect. Using them as coasters, tossing them on the floor... I loved them casting Steve Earle in that part. It's funny, many of the people they got that had no acting experience end up starting a bit rough but actually get pretty good. That's one of the best parts

My wife is actually a huge Albarn fan. She loves Gorillaz, Blur, Good the bad and the Queen. I can appreciate the Gorillaz but I never find myself grabbing those CD's for a listen. I did not realize there was much of a backstory.

Well I tried but I don't like this at all. The acoustic remake side is better but I won't be pulling this one out again. NP: Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker

Since you have some college radio experience, there are 2 columns on the list I mentioned where they are describing each song in one sentence. One Column says "Ratio In" and typically has a value of 0.15 seconds. The other column is "ratio out" and is mostly blank with a few exceptions. Any idea what these columns are used for? To answer Matt's question, for myself it's Pollard's melodic sense that sets him apart. He is up there with McCartney in his ability to create melodic hooks that are just so catchy. Why he is not huge is a mystery to me, just like Big Star not being huge is a m

I am! I have been a Twins fan all my life (since I lived there as a youngster) so I'm hoping. Now that I live in Colorado I am hoping the Rockies will do something. A Rockies/Twins Series would be rough on me but would be great to see.

I just picked up the Isolation Drills CD used at the local independent store. It's clearly a copy from the local college radio station KCSU. I managed to deduce this by the fact that KCSU is written all over the disk. The interesting part is there is a page of notes attached to the inside that describes each song in a sentence, for example: Fair Touching - "good mellow pop rock sound" Skills like these - "upbeat pop-rock, smooth vocals" Chasing Heather Crazy - "Cool, medium beat, guitar, pop" Man I love this CD, probably their most accessible?

Daft Punk is playing in your house, your house... NP: Just got this used for $6.

Wow, can I get an 8x10?

The part I didn't know about was whether Dave's wife knew or did not about his shenanigans. If the wife does not know that it is a shitty deal all around.
-
Exactly, I originally had Wife in quotes for Gene Simmons because I realize he is not married but after this long it's the same thing. Kind of the same thing Dave had until very recently.
-
Have to admit, I agree with you. Not something I would go to as a break up song so not even sure why I picked it. I guess if you just listen to the chorus it might feel like one.

I am listening to the 10/10/76 concert from Oakland Coliseum (Wolfgang's vault). I'm really liking the 76 and 77 stuff I'm hearing. Standouts to me are the version of Friend of the Devil ( I had not heard it done that way before) and the Dancing in the streets jam into Wharf Rat and back into Daning in the streets. An odd combination but it worked really well. Setlist: Might as Well Mama Tried Ramble on Rose Cassidy Deal El Paso Loser Promised Land Friend of the Devil Dancing in the Streets Wharf Rat Dancing in the Streets

Some consenting adults have spoken or unspoken "arrangements" so who knows. You think Gene Simmons wife expected him to be faithful? I don't really know if that's the situation with Letterman but then again I have a hard time caring. She can choose to leave or stay at this point. I do wonder how difficult it would be to remain faithfull when you are a rich and famous person. I like to think I would but do I really know? Moment of weakness, drunken stupidity, whatever.

Speaking of the Band, I thought it was pretty cool that Jimmy, Jack, and Edge chose "The Weight" to jam on at the end of the movie. What a gas hearing them all (even Jimmy) harmonizing on that.
