Odd cover for the new album, is he cross-eyed?:
-
C'mon!
-
My2 favorite songs from that album. That's not an album I go back to much but those are 2 big reasons to do it.
-
The reason I like it is it forces them to play even the more obscure songs off an album that you would normally never hear. Other than that it is a bit gimicky.
-
And I'll add the "White Album" and "Who's Next".
-
I wish the Crowes would do something like Steely Dan or the Pixies and feature an entire record in concert. Preferably Southern Harmony or Amorica.
-
Guns and Roses covered one but I don't even remember it. Can't say I have ever heard his music.
-
God I envy you! And Gus was the man.

Schneider would be pissed! Alright, I know it's not a joking matter, too soon. I just don't know what to believe. I remember reading "Wonderland Avenue" and thinking this is one seriously disturbed girl. I don't know the truth, I do know that she is trying to sell books and John can't defend himself but I find it hard to believe anybody would be evil enough to make up a story like this just for money. Sad and sick and I feel sorry for what she went through if it's true.

Go OJ, Go! -
$8? Does a naked stripper show up and hand it to you? I need this album.
-
That is so cool Matt!
-
Ah, I got you. I like that.
-
I wondered what song they would be playing on the talk show circuit. Yep goat herder or someone who smokes a lot of pot.
-
This is exciting, a new and GOOD Pollard! Can't wait to hear it.
-
Congrats, get that boy a guitar soon as he can hold his head up!
-
I like your consistency! If you like something, stick with it! It is a very good album.

Just trying to understand, so you think his music is very easy to digest, simplistic, not complex or challenging? Is that what "entry level" means? I'm not being sarcastic, in fact I kind of understand what you are saying, I have just never really heard that term "entry level" applied to music. I could see it more with books or art maybe so I suppose music could be the same way. You are not necessarily saying it's not good...

This should replace "Rickrolling". Getting "teabagged by the boss"!

Yet another band I know is great and I know I need to delve deeper into but never have. I listened to the heck out of Kiko but that is really about it. I saw them do a cover of "Tomorrow never knows" once that blew me away. Fantastic band so thanks for the reminder.

Helter Skelter is one of those songs that could probably be covered somewhat successfully by just about any band. So many people have done it (like most Beatles songs) U2, Husker Du, Motley Crue, G &R, Aerosmith... I do think of it as more a hard rock song than anything. The "I got blisters" part has become so well known it is strange to hear the song without it for me. I liked Stewie Griffin yelling that after playing banjo in his hillbilly band.

Sure! It's got the strong silent gunfighter with the unknown history, the damsel in distress, the fight over land and cattle, the bad guy. It's like Sergio Leone, meets Shane, meets Deadwood meets Dirty Harry. Good stuff! Sometimes you just need a book that does not require much thinking.

I'm not falling for it, they are just going to gather, turn around, and drop trou on us.
