  1. The wild, the innocent and the old man shuffle. Just kidding. Happy Birthday Bruce.
  2. Now I feel like a putz posting my dime store western in the middle of all the drama.
  3. Vibes, sounds like you are making the best of a bad situation. Sorry to hear about it. Many of us working are just waiting for something similar to happen.
  4. Rose Hill Drive is from Boulder Colorado as am I. Where is Sutton?Wait a minute...are we even talking the same country?
  5. Wow, I think I need this. Only streaming 2 songs but they sound amazing.
  6. Good quality new cracker video filmed at mountain state Brewing CO in W.V. http://vimeo.com/6668595
  7. Listening to some "So Called Star" right now.
  8. In that case: The Who, Who are you, Who are you.
  9. Sounding good from the clips but I wish the entire thing rocked like song 2. I suppose it's another late night basement recording so it leans towards the mellower. Always nice to get a new Westerberg though.
  10. Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath
  11. I would not say he hid behind a wall of feedback. It was a tool that he used much better than anyone had before. He had uncanny control of it.
  12. I don't see anything wrong with a Grateful Dead cover band, even one that is as succesful as DSO. I can't imagine anybody could form a GD band and be successful at it without being big fans of the music, so for me that means there is an element of love and respect for the music. There is just something different about hearing the music live that people enjoy. Plus it's a chance to have fun and enjoy the music with fellow fans. What's wrong with that? as far as "re-creating the GD experience", that's all about marketing but it's about as close as you are going to get, isn't it?
  13. Ten Yield Vitalogy No Code Binaural Vs S/T Riot Act
  14. It's the only one I have bought yet. You have to figure that everybody already bought the Yellow submarine and Let it be naked disks awhile back. Some of us want mono of anything else but have not got the box yet. That leaves Abbey Road. Of course it's a fantastic album as well...
  15. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. It's one of the advantages of having relatively non mainstream tastes. 99% of the concerts I go to are at small clubs where I can walk right up front or wherever I want. As much as I love Red Rocks, I still prefer the clubs any day of the week.
  16. Yep, my recent Pixies tickets were $50 each but ended up being $62 each with fees. At least I can vent here because there is not much else you can do.
  17. I saw those guys open for the Seahorses a long time ago. Pretty sure it's spelled Mansun. There were quite a few people that thought they stole the show but not me. Wide open spaces is a great song but not sure they had many others. I'm still waiting for Rose Hill Drive to make it big.
  18. No, say it ain't so! Although if it sounds like 1993 era Alice I will probably love it.
  19. Wow, this is really, really good. Johnny Marr has added something to this band.
  20. Just got Copper Blue at the local store for $2.99. Worth every cent.
  21. Dirty South - Drive by Truckers Actually it would be Big Star or the Replacements in some way but those were taken.
  22. Or like my local radio station says: "Why can't I get, just one kuff, why can't I get, just one kuff"...
  23. I'm waiting for the Beatles IPOD to come out (fully loaded with Mono and Stereo versions of all songs, in the shape and color of a yellow submarine). It can only be a matter of time, right?
