  1. Very nice. Loved Gardening at night!
  2. Wow, I had not heard that. Have seen them at Red Rocks and Broomfield in the last few years but the Ogden would be amazing. Sancho's is going to be packed. I suppose the Ogden will be next to impossible but I am certainly going to give it a shot.
  3. Not just a great jazz player but a great human being. RIP.
  4. And tour dates including a stop in Colorado! Sweet! http://www.nickcave.com/news/north-american-tour-dates-announced/
  5. The band is sounding fantastic on that one! I am just a huge Ron Wood fan, and it is weird seeing him play a Les Paul instead of his usual strats and Zemaitis guitars. The entire band is like 5% body fat. Makes me feel like Leslie West when I'm on stage.
  6. That's it! Thanks. The book basically said it was still Steve Marriots favorite small faces song that he wrote although that's not a universal opinion.
  7. I have to admit I probably listen to the Elvis christmas albums the most out of anything. I have a Johnny Cash as well that I listen to every year that is probably not great but definitely nostalgic.
  8. So I'm working my way through the Faces story and found out that the dog "Seamus" featured in the song of the same name by Pink Floyd was actually owned by Steve Marriot. Apparently he can be heard on a small faces record as well. I love odd facts like that. I'm in a huge Small faces/Faces phase right now.
  9. Much like that Neil Young Helpless video floating around, that clip sounded pretty horrible to me.
  10. I love that Sufjan Stevens "Silver and Gold" is streaming at NPR right now: http://www.npr.org/series/98679384/first-listen
  11. I just finished that one recently and really liked it. Just like "The Tudors".

Laker fans are the lowest form of basketball fan...
  13. I always wanted our band to do Monday (as has been mentioned) but then again we don't have keyboards. With a good keyboard player you have a whole world of possibilities open up. Handshake drugs or Spiders?
  14. As with many bands I was late to finding these guys but I am making up for it. Never had the pleasure to see them live and unfortunately it looks like it won't be in the near future. Closest show on this tour appears to be a few states away. Oh well, thanks for posting the song, sounds great.
  15. I could have sworn Larry Storch was in the Grass Roots at one point. I thought this was interesting. Dan Spitz from Anthrax is a master watchmaker: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/interview-meet-dan-spitz-anthrax-guitarist-turned-master-watchmaker
  16. Hickenlooper will fall right in line. Guy made his name selling mind altering substances. I'm quitting my job and opening a pot bar.
  17. 1. Beach House - Bloom 2. Mark Lanegan - Blues Funeral 3. Band of Horses - Mirage Rock Ok, I might have put the Shins at #3 but I had to represent for Band of Horses. I honestly don't understand the hate for the new album, which I am loving by the way. I say give it another listen. Or if you have been scared away by the negative talk, give it a first spin and see what you think.
  18. Leave it to Rick Rubin to get them back to the classic Tres Hombres sound.
  19. Looks they are adding some new showings of Celebration day for those of us that couldn't make the others: http://www.fathomevents.com/concerts/event/ledzeppelinencore.aspx :
