New Besnard Lakes "Until in excess, imperceptible UFO" coming in April. They are hit and miss for me but I really liked the "Besnard Lakes are the roaring night" album so will check this one out.

Moss replied to Kim Bodnia's topic in Someone Else's Song
Well I sure hope you like it. The pressure is on not to have wasted your $1.50. -
Ooh, that's a good one I forgot about. 10/10 in my book.

I would highly recommend "ignore the ignorant' by the Cribs. An overlooked gem of an album. -

Loved his work with The Cribs and wished he was still with them but I'll be checking this out. I do want to hear before I buy however. -
A friend of mine says homeland has pretty much already jumped the shark. Never seen it myself.

^^^^^^^^ Streaming right now Dan and it's sounding really good. What kind of keyboards are used on this (Ghetto Mexico is on)? They sound good! "New" Hendrix coming in March: Info on the release as well as a preview of one of the songs (Buddy Miles on drums, Stephen Stills on Bass): http://www.rocksquare.com/community/musicnews/1816

Such an influential guitarist. Very sad news.

I wonder how high the ebay prices will go for that Mats release? Much as I love them I won't be bidding but will probably pick up the commercial release. Another release I'm interested in (not sure if it was mentioned): The new Black Sabbath produced by Rick Rubin.

I am absolutely loving this book right now.

Wow, is this stuff good. On draft at the Cheeky Monk in Westminster, CO.

I would say the $400 - $800 range is about right. If you really get into it then you will wish you had spent that much. Less than that and you could run into the frustrations of poor intonation, difficulty in keeping it in tune, poor action, buzzing frets, all the types of things that will easily frustrate someone trying to learn to play. Epiphones are a good bang for the buck. Taylor also makes some "low end" acoustics that may not break the bank but are still high quality. Like GtrPlyr said, acoustic vs. electric is more about the kind of songs you want to play. I spend the vast major

1/5/12 - Jason Isbell - I never get tired of seeing Jason, always good. 5/1/12 - Delta Spirit - Probably my highlight of the year as it is the first time I have seen them. Great show. 5/20/12 - Mark Lanegan - No between song chatter, not sure he even moved a muscle the entire show, but I love the new album and it sounded good live. 5/29/12 - The Shins - Biggest let down, band was good, sound at Red Rocks was unexpectedly bad. 6/22/12 - Wilco - 1st night at Red Rocks - More of a "hits" show 6/23/12 - Wilco - 2nd night at Red Rocks - I liked this night better. More "obscure" stuff. 8/17/12 - B

That was a definite surprise. My and the guy I was with just kind of looked at each other like "is that what I think it is?" I liked that they were willing to take some chances and new just do a safe "Hits" show.

Just finished the final episode last night. What a bummer that it's over now for me, I enjoyed the hell out of it. What an amazing group of characters they developed over one season. And now for something completely different, moving on to season 4 of Sons of Anarchy.

I hope this one is as good as the last one.
