It's funny, I have never really paid attention but was on vacation in Scotland for some of the early games. The crowds and excitement were infectious. Since I could not find the NBA finals anywhere I started watching and really started getting into it. Now if I could just find a place here in the states that showed the games and served Haggis I would be a happy man.

I have to ask. How is that Guided by voices album?
-
Not the kindle, I love watching movies on that. Not really embarrassed, but it is rather soap opera-ish.

Sounding pretty good, on Sky Blue right now...

I don't know, maybe I should be embarrassed or something about this but I'm digging watching this on my Kindle:

Wilco — 6/23/12, Morrison, CO (Red Rocks Amphitheatre)

I agree that the second night was better than night 1, at least for me. Of course I'm sure it helped that I was 20 rows closer and the sound was much louder. My wife liked night #1 better and I'm guessing it's because she is much more of a casual Wilco fan and recognized more songs on night 1. I thought Dr. Dog was great although their sound was a little muddy, at least compared to Wilco. It made me want to see them in a smaller venue for sure. Overall, a great 2 nights of music, wish there was a 3rd one tonight although one must not get greedy. -
Yep, usually 90 minutes before the time on the ticket. Dr. Dog will likely go on promptly at 8:00.

Punch Brothers were enjoyable, I liked that they sounded like the Sonic youth of Bluegrass at times. The mandolin player looked just like Jude Law to me. Felt like a "new album plus greatest hits" show to me and I certainly have no complaints. I loved them opening mellow with "One Sunday morning", first time I have seen any of the new album live and that sounded amazing. Remember the mountain bed in the encore was also beautiful. Hoping they go deeper in the mix tonight. Heading to the website now to request "Company in my back". -
Great show last night although I don't have pictures. Saw plenty of Mic's set up for recording so will be looking forward to those. Really looking forward to seeing Dr. Dog tonight, Punch brothers were not really my thing. For anybody going tonight, I'm currently wearing a Big Star shirt if you want to say Hi!

Twist and shout is easily the best but there is also Wax Trax and Black and Read that are pretty good.

The show will definitely be up on CO.tapers within a few days but the more the merrier I always say!

My presale tickets were row 26 which is towards the front of the reserved section.

You can actually look online and very easily "root" your Kindle fire and put an android operating system on it. At that point it becomes as good as an IPAD for way cheaper although it does void the warranty. I have not done it myself as I really only use the fire to watch movies but I have a few friends that have done it and they are very happy with it. Makes it a very powerful little unit for only $200.

Wild fires are much farther north and are not an issue at all for the Red Rocks area. Should be absolutely beautiful out there. I would recommend bringing a light jacket or something as sometimes you can get a cool breeze at night.

Why not throw on some Ram and enjoy some nice Tatties with Paul!

Not sure I could have watched had he not gone with the safety line.

Ok, this is not as bad as I expected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoDk7nIVuHc

Working my way through this as I am heading to Scotland tomorrow for vacation. Love the authors name. I can see why the Scots are not chummy with the British. Holy cow, for a small island, the amount of war and death is just staggering. As far as E-books I have a Fire. I think for pure reading the non fire Kindle's seem better. The Fire is great for watching movies, surfing the net and stuff but not as easy on the eyes for book reading. The nice thing about the Fire is you can "root" it and make if a very powerful tablet (look it up online, very easy). Then you are not stuck with the

New Neil Young album - with Crazy Horse!
Moss replied to Vacant Horizon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Man, I love Neil. But this new album is just not doing it for me. -
I have to say, I have been listening to the new deluxe Ram album and disc 2 is worth the cost by itself. Rode all night is something I had never heard before and is just amazing.

Yep, a heavy lid is a bit more than an ounce of Marijuana.

You know, I never noticed before but Billy Squier sounds a hell of a lot like Chris Robinson in "Lonely is the night".

So many great books. Illustrated man is a classic. Might be my wife's favorite author. She is quite bummed. RIP
