They did a mini-secret show (secret mini-show?) in Brooklyn a few years ago: http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=8547 http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2004...e_2004_pia.html

Isn't the whole point that he's being played by several different actors, each representing a different aspect of his life or music or persona?

It screened here a couple of times at the SF Film Festival, but I've been holding out for this one.

Hey Tim, welcome to VC! Oceanman is right on two counts: first of all, you'll find all kinds of techie help in this forum; and also, I'd go with Flac Frontend, although I think that only takes it to WAV, then you can use iTunes or whatever to convent those to mp3. Nose around in that other forum though, someone there probably has a more efficient method for you. p.s. I'm closing this thread just to keep things tidy in here, but if you don't find what you're looking for in the other forum, feel free to post the question again over there. There are lots of helpful people on VC, som

Conan the governor gave us all free public transit yesterday after the freeway melted.

I think I'm safe to say this now without ruining the surprise for Trish, but Uyen's on her way over with a pre-show birthday cheesecake! And Judy, the Independent's e-mailed calendar last week said Monday, 4/30: The Sloan

Building management sent out an e-mail this morning, warning us that "Konen O'Brien" will be taping his show in the theater across the street, so we should be prepared for lots of extra people in the area. At least one VCer (not me ) will be attending one of these shows.

Hey, Trish hasn't posted here yet. Happy birthday to both of you!

I thought he was being oppressed. Excuse me. Are you the Judean People's Front? Fuck off! We're the People's Front of Judea! I'll take three of the flat ones, and a packet of gravel. Making it worse? How can it be worse? Jehovah! Jehovah! Jehovah! Promised me the known world, he did... All the gold that I could eat...

And then during the sing-along part of Sons and Daughters, he looked at her again and said "I'm glad to see you're participating in this one". Those spots at the rail seriously kicked ass. Insane show, it was the second of two nights there, and a source who was at both shows said the set lists varied quite a bit. Colin had the entire crowd (well, everyone except Uyen) in the palm of his hand; there was almost a puppet-master quality to it by the end of the night, people were responding to the band's every twitch. And John Lithgow looked very sweetly proud of his son. He was doing a typ

I've gotten loads of on-line donations from some lovely VCers (and some people have sent checks, but I haven't figured out how to make your names show up on the page yet), so I just wanted to thank you all again. And yes, this is another shameless bump.

OMG, it's just like in FNL! Good luck with it all!

Who plays that awesome solo guitar on Impossible Germany?
gogo replied to useme2305's topic in Just A Fan
We got this for AGIB, but I don't think there's been a similar credits listing for SBS. -
Thanks, tumor girl. It looks like not everyone's name is showing up, and it definitely takes a day or so for new donations to turn up on the page. So let's give it 24 hours before we start in on the ass-kicking!

15 minutes. Give it some time. -
*shameless bump* Thanks to all you folks who have donated!

For the pre-sales last week, you needed a musictoday login-and-password combo that you set up yourself. There was not a special presale password like there has been in the past.

People who organize their friends into a book club and listen to bluegrass commit murder, too. I think a lot of those video games are disgusting, but I really doubt they're causing anyone to kill, who wouldn't have been headed in that direction anyway.

There's some stuff in this thread about a compilation that a VCer was working on. Some posts in that thread also mention Alpha Romeo Tango; information on that can be found at db.etree.org.

Nor I.

This is the e-mail I got from wilcoworld/musictoday. If you click on the link and log in, you'll get to a screen where you can download the video.
