I think theShua has some pretty good ideas about this in the Letterman thread.

Predictions for what song they will play on Letterman
gogo replied to unposed_question's topic in Just A Fan
Yeah, but if you're that concerned, you almost have to do complete information blackout to avoid hearing something like that (I spend a lot less time on VC during the Olympics, for example ). If you'd watched Letterman last night, you would have heard it. -
In the past, Wilco HQ has offered tech support if you e-mail them at support@wilcoworld.net. If you're sure you have the enhanced CD and aren't seeing anything, maybe they can at least give you an idea of why it isn't working as it should (and if you get any info, please come back and let the rest of us know ).

I ordered the express shipping (2 day UPS), and UPS didn't leave it yesterday because there was no one home to sign for it (don't get me started bitching about how we've told UPS dozens of times to either just leave the stuff, or have a neighbor sign for it; there is always a neighbor home). My sister ordered hers by regular mail, and that arrived yesterday. -
Yeah, it wouldn't be available at Virgin. They're specifically for distribution through independent record stores.

It definitely depends on the indie. Rasputin in the Bay Area has it for $10.99, including the extra two-track promo.

A guy who used to post here, user name: Ron Cey, avatar: Don Rickles. I'd rather not get clued in. I'll be avoiding this thread for the next 9 hours! -
http://wilcoworld.net/roadcase/index.php I think the only enhanced content that comes with the CD is that it lets you get the webcast on the 20th (then everyone gets the one on the 21st).

Hate It Here has gotten some play on KFOG this week. That could definitely work. Other Letterman stuff: http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/pants/ What's with the way the guests are listed for tonight's show? "Michael Imperioli / Wilco (The Sopranos), (CD, "Sky Blue Sky")" None of the other nights have anything listed like that. I think Michael Imperioli is going to sing with them!!!! (not really) Also: Don Rickles. I hope Ron Cey will be watching. -
Haight Street is correct! And the Boom Boom Room, while perhaps an odd choice of venue for this event, is a very cool little club just across the street from The Fillmore.

This one? Because this one scares me a lot:

Is Sebastian Bach invited? This is so exciting! I can't wait for pictures!

So you're sayin' it's true?!?

No, musictoday orders come from musictoday, and they have a different shipping policy than ticketmaster.

All of your sisters out here wish the happiest of birthdays to the 4th McCormick sister (Mary still only gets "5th sister" ranking)!

Mmm... Canadian bacon... Happy day to you, mama-san, and to all the moms!

Actually, truly, it is a signed copy. For reals. I keep telling myself I'm going to read all of the HPs again before the new one comes out. Maybe if I started now and did absolutely nothing else for the next two months...?

http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?sh...c=2596&st=0 The release date for AGIB was June 22. Some people who pre-ordered without the express shipping received it before that date. -
Oops, sorry. It was the brooklynvegan link that threw me off.

Somebody said earlier that the Warsaw holds 800. So, 80 went in the presale, probably. There probably wasn't a shipping option, this looks like it's going to be an all will-call show.

PBP, I don't think anyone here means to belittle your problems. A lot of VCers take great joy in their children, and I believe that they were truly just encouraging you to take what comfort you can in your family. As for some of the other comments... yes, the paragraph breaks are a nice touch , but some folks need to learn to phrase their "constructive criticism" a little more constructively. And some just need to grow up. There are lots of friendly people around here, I hope that you'll join in the conversation and continue to let us know how you're doing.
