It occurred to me today that since the Best Song win for Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova the other night (), I now have pictures of myself with Grammy winners (Wilco), an Oscar winner (Glen), a Tony winner (Alan Cumming, taken outside the stage door when he was appearing in Cabaret, the show he won for), and an Emmy winner (my friend Michael, who was on the lighting design team for the Athens Olympics). I never really considered myself to be much of a celebrity stalker. I guess I only stalk the best! Any other major award-winners I should be looking out for? Oh, and I've also got a pict

We also have the ability to move posts from one thread to another. I'm seriously considering moving all the pro- posts to one thread, and the anti-s to the other. Just to make it look like folks are all getting really pissed off at people who agree with them.

I don't know the American Chopper guy! But I do remember that entire road trip as a series of "we got lost!" stories from the kidsmokes and jimtweedy. Did they find your place OK?

Since this was intended to be a non-snarky thread, as opposed to the mostly-snarky other Charleston thread, I'm not merging it, for now. However, I am reserving the right to merge it at some point in the future, based entirely on my whim.

Thanks for passing it on, Mel. I was hoping we'd be able to let Nat's family know about this. And we'd definitely like to hear more about the scholarship fund. We discussed doing something along those same lines, but decided that logistically, this made more sense for VC. Would be great if folks could contribute something there, as well (either/both... whatever!).
