is a concert a night out of one to several bands, or does each band's set count? and how do you factor in festivals? i usually see around ~200 different sets each year, but obviously festivals inflate that total (and many times i only see a few songs from a particular band).

I might go see Sebadoh tonight.

i wouldn't rate the Lindas nearly as high as Neko, as they didn't write their own material. actually, i'm much less familiar w/ Thompson's work, just assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that Richard did most of that heavy lifting. Joni, even though she's not my thing, I can certainly see. Aretha, too. right now, Neko's weak spot is the overall amount of material...she really only started coming into her own on Blacklisted, so that's only 4 records.

i thought it was cool that she let Kelly take the whole vocal on Barracuda. both of them sounded fantastic. ending w/ Star Witness too...wow! I kinda figured we'd get Train From KC but i much preferred how it went down.

How fucking great was Neko last night? I lucked out too....turns out I just got a photo pass (which took ~25 min to sort out) and not a ticket...but a friend wasn't feeling good and bailed so she sent me the PDF ticket and I was good to go.
