  1. Buck Dharma is their lead. IMO, the best guitar soloist ever.
  2. btw, i think there are a couple of people here who also post or lurk on the DBT board...one of the cool things there is a user-sourced Artist of the Week feature, and BOC was tackled in a most excellent manner a few weeks ago...check it out if you want to: http://www.threedimesdown.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5576
  3. oh yeah, Sandy Pearlman produced that LP, and he did a lot of work w/ BOC.
  4. not sure...i think he was dating Ellen Foley at one point, who also did some singing w/ The Clash.
  5. totally sucks, but not too surprising. BOC is one of those bands who are really and truly underrated...people know "Reaper," "Burnin' For You" and the cowbell skit on SNL. the run of records from the debut through Spectres (and one could make an argument for Fire Of Unknown Origin) was really quite excellent.
  6. win an autographed test pressing: http://recordstoreday.com/Contest/1505
  7. Wow. Totally blew away expectations.
  8. What is the most execrable genre of rock music?
  9. i thought that was Quarterstick but i was mistaken. what is the worst US city you've been to?
  10. What is the best record ever released on Touch and Go records?
  11. you deflected the chance for a dialog re: top 50, so I'm not really sure where you are coming from regarding the troll comment. and now yr pal Atticus has joined in the fun.
  12. i dunno... oh,i get it now. Listening to Whiskeytown?
  13. well that was when Pete was playing acoustic, and they had people like Billy Idol playing parts (i think he was the bell boy). my wife went to that, as well as to the recent one...it was pretty clear which she preferred.
  14. I've only see Bruce once, at one of the final shows at Giants Stadium. Yeah, he's got a more than competent band and plenty of energy, but much like my criticism of Dave Grohl, he panders to his audience way too much. Pete's lost a lot of his stage presence, Roger gamely makes an effort, but for me the clear balance tipper was that they played Quadrophenia. it was incredible. Mr Heartbreak, I only got to see two songs of McCartney's show at Fenway a couple of years ago but all reports I've heard from friends who have seen him were positive.
  15. RS's list wasn't the work of one writer. but you did get one thing right. my opinion is definitely better than the collective of RS. i'm just really pissed that Hoobastank didn't make it.
