  1. not anything near like they did for this one, but there may have been some footage captured. i really don't know. edit - btw, these Roadcase shows sound awesome.
  2. i wonder if footage from other SSFs will make it to the DVD.
  3. purchased. and kicked in some $ for the tornado fund too.
  4. Yes, another dud. The "dear prudence" section at the end is the only good part.
  5. Hate It Here has horrible lyrics. Impossible Germany has great ones.
  6. yeah my friend and i didn't end up browsing the stacks until Sunday...probably had a lot of good records get snatched up, like Paulcalypse, who told me got an original pressing of Sonic Youth's _Sister_ w/ the since-deleted photos for about $30. there were still a load of good to great to excellent records, though. a friend snatched a super clean original press of the Sex Pistols LP w/ poster for $50. he also got a Japanese pressing of 2nd edition. there's one on discogs w/o the poster for $150 http://www.discogs.com/Sex-Pistols-Never-Mind-The-Bollocks-Heres-The-Sex-Pistols/release/27603
  7. well it looks like no press credentials are being issued for the tour...i just checked the site for tickets and there are a ton of seats in the outermost seating sections at Comcast...sections 10 and 14 each have only sold two (2) seats so far. oof. and i thought Richard Thompson was playing the Comcast date, but now it's showing Ryan Bingham.
  8. really? that sucks. the used stock was amazing...i thought the condition of most items was really really good. yesterday i listened to two of the LPs I bought (The Gun Club and Dead Boys) and they were super clean copies. very happy w/ the selection that Euclid brought w/ them.
  9. paying $8 for a 7" record is something that I ever rarely do anymore...i've got boxes and boxes of the things sitting upstairs, ignored.
  10. I thought about it today on my bike ride, and the odds are pretty high of non-gay male musicians, given enough unprotected sex and time, will become involved in the dad rock movement.
  11. Kiedis is the one who gets in altercations with security. Iffy is the one who likes Jif.
  12. your answer's no, right? just enjoying my coffee, dude.
  13. review of days 2 and 3, w/ photos: http://www.prefixmag.com/photos/solid-sound-festival-days-2-3-featuring-wilco-yo-l/
  14. hey i can use Wiki too! have you ever seen The Stooges? because it's looking rather unlikely, based on your posts. yeah, METZ or Pissed Jeans or Kitchen's Floor or Nails or are much younger and play great brands of aggressive music too. The Stooges will always have a place at that table.
  15. good line, wrong band...maybe if i had a Dead shirt on...
  16. Iffy looks like a wrinkly iguana but the amount of rock action he unleashes is still very impressive. One can't see "1970" or "I've Got. A Right" at a Stooges show and not feel a jolt of electricity. So if that's granddad rock, show me to the nearest nursing home.
  17. Thanks. I should have the other two days up today some time.

  20. he was in our car so the walk back to the hotel room wasn't an option. relax, i am sure he wasn't the only napper. in terms of inconsiderate behavior from a fan's perspective, talking >>>>> napping. unless snoring is involved. the last show i fell asleep to was Sunn O))) last summer, for a bit. it started at midnight, was unbearably hot, and the massive, thick clouds of detuned/downtempo guitar distortion was a beautiful lullaby.
  21. it was pretty cool...i had front seats as i missed the 2nd encore from Wilco. they had the director do a live narration to the movie, and YLT played a live soundtrack to it. nothing amazing, but certainly worth experiencing once. a friend of mine (Jon) had saved a few seats up front and is good friends w/ YLT. one of my other friends sitting next to him was sleeping before YLT took the stage (late from playing Roadrunner), and had his head slumped against Jon's shoulder. after the show, my friend is talking w/ James and the first thing James said was that they came out on stage and noticed
  22. In Courtyard C. Which, you probably realize, is far different from a band at full volume on Joe's Field.
