  1. i remember an interview i did w/ Buzz from the Melvins, and he couldn't understand why people would play music in a building meant for sporting events.
  2. on point. i immediately thought it was in regards to a reissue program.
  3. i just talked w/ Gustav for about 10 min outside the club while he was having a cig. i'll get the interview transcribed over this weekend (hopefully) and up w/ the live review at The Big Takeover. The show was phenomenal. and it was fun to see people into it as well. i feel like this band is 100x what Tame Impala is, with 1/1000th the audience.
  4. the Dirty Harry/Charles Bronson vigilante mindset runs a lot deeper than you think it does. if we are trading anecdotes, a good friend of mine who was in the air force and did multiple stints in Iraq and Afghanistan felt this article was 100% on target. i have no problem with the good guys w/ guns being people have undergone serious and comprehensive training on how to use one, not only in the sterile environment of a shooting range, but in real life situations. those people are called policeman. no need for Ronnie Rambo-wannabe to feel he's just as qualified to take out his concealed
  5. agannis would suck. i'd gladly pay double the price for half the venue size. that said, i saw the band at the same venue almost 14 years ago, so there's that...
  6. serious question... do you think if the top price seats for Boston were double (ie, $150) that they would also sell so fast? i think teh answer is yes.
  7. The sold out show demonstrated that some doctors are more effective at communication than others.
  8. Dungen was fantastic last night. If you are below your doctor's recommended dosage of Swedish folk/psych then do what you can to see one the remaining shows.
  9. fuck... well that was even faster than yesterday... Sorry, no matches currently...Tons of fans are shopping and some may have let their tickets go. You can try again, or you can explore one of the options below.
  10. Someone operating Wilco's Facebook page gave me this info too.
  11. Almost sounds like you are talking about The Melvins.
  12. right on. there were rumors that they'd be playing some US dates this year but sadly that never happened. i was fortunate enough to see them twice in the early 90s and they were incredible.

  14. if you haven't heard this, i highly recommend it (parts 1 and 2). http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/487/harper-high-school-part-one clearly, there are a lot of things in play here wrt to gun violence and gangs. edit - i see Lost Highway already spoke to these things.
  15. when Hurricane Sandy hit, the Napalm Death show scheduled for that night went on as planned.
  16. the 33 dollar tickets are probably back of the balcony... no thanks. Portland tickets are still available... but i wanna take my son, and that's not very convenient. i'll wait for the next batch of tickets.
  17. Boston had 4 price points: $33.50 $40.50 $48.00 $73.50
  18. yeah i finally got in but the 1st two tiered tickets are gone. and then i couldn't find 2 seats together. next!
  19. how long does one try to get tickets before becoming an idiot? asking for a friend.
  20. even trying for Radiohead tickets a few years ago didn't crash the site, i just couldn't select any seats. this is terrible.
