  1. hey, just because i live near boston doesn't make them 'my band' if it does, i'll have consider relocation.
  2. they were pretty decent at newport this year, at least the first song was awesome!
  3. shit, maybe i mis-spoke... it's probably the 8th.
  4. i was just being cheeky. it's kinda hard to tell, really. it's probably way higher as last.fm has Wilco as my 3rd listened to artist since i started scrobbling years ago. but that doesn't take into account music played on my car stereo, my iPod, or my home stereo.
  5. yay for bigots. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/11/watch-virginia-town-hall-meeting-descends-into-chaos-as-anti-muslim-bigots-scream-insults/
  6. OH MY GOD, LOOK AT ALL THE GUNS THAT HAVE BEEN SEIZED! seriously, don't people bother w/ rational thought these days?
  7. more terrorists, more gun sales fueled by fear.
  8. i've never used a turntable where you had to manually change the belt setting to change speeds. i'm not sure of the advantages or disadvantages, other than it's not as convenient. i'm guessing the dust covers are just removed to make it easier to photograph the unit:
  9. fucking awesome. though it was hell taking photos. here's a vid i shot after i gave up shooting still after 1.5 songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ3wz2XW_JE
  10. i am not sure what other message boards you participate in, but it sounds like fantasy land if those bolded parts are true. message boards are not democracies.
  11. the exposed belt is a fairly common design aspect for some tables, which require manual adjustment of the belt to change between 33 and 45 rpm. i would think that a dust cover is an option on some if not most, but i am not sure. i am still lusting after a Linn Sondek LP12
  12. is there serious bad blood w/ Adler and Rose? btw, lol at the BWS copyright term.
  13. not sure there's a more minimal design. maybe you can only play Bauhaus records on it?
  14. yeah she's increasingly against photography as well, even credentialed. i've shot her a bunch of times and had to get image preapproval last time...
  15. neato... just found that her Newport set from 2009 is still available via NPR streaming: http://www.npr.org/2009/08/02/111396860/neko-case-newport-folk-festival-2009
