Feb 6th Brooklyn show song request! Can you help me!
tinnitus photography replied to remphish1's topic in Just A Fan
my 13 year old is going to his 2nd Wilco show, and the first one where he'll be awake when the band gets on stage (he was 7 for the show at Lowell and was asleep in my wife's arms when i returned from the photo pit)... although it's not a rarity by any stretch, he'd love to hear "Heavy Metal Drummer" so if you could vote for that song on the 2nd show (30th, the Saturday), that would be swell! -
if you want to be in Newport, then yes... lodging will be very expensive. if you don't mind a ~30 min drive radius, you can find something easy enough. just be aware that getting to the grounds early to park can save considerable time getting out...

this is the best one that came up in the results of 'google search for this image' btw, the guy's name is Michael Oberman.

i'm kinda curious as to why who the person is actually matters. admittedly i cut and pasted from the facebook page w/o realizing his name wasn't included, but even if i had, it doesn't really seem to be a big part of the post. if it helps, here's what he looks like now:
-
that man was Jay Bennett.

read the first line of the 2nd paragraph of the text i quoted.

some words from the guy on the left:

we could try a pre or post-show swap?

i've never had anything from Hill Farmstead or Tree House, and the only Alchemist beer i've had is Heady Topper (several times), and it's really good. still, i am very, very happy that Trillium is so close to me (even if it's still a PITA to drive to the brewery in Southie) and cranks out a pretty wide range of styles on a frequent basis.

yep, Kevin's link definitely supports that. i remember years ago talking w/ an engineer from Jacobs who was working on a job w/ me. he said "I'm not sure where you get your energy from, but all my electricity comes from a wind farm in Idaho." -
that must have changed somewhere down the line, because when i saw Tony w/ Geezer and Dio in 2009, they were billed as Heaven and Hell, and not Black Sabbath (heard it was due to Sharon O's posturing, meaning that somehow she (and Ozzy) had gotten legal ownership of the band's name).

this is speculation on my part, but i would imagine that if you have an electric car, you actually drive it less than a conventional car, in terms of total miles. does anyone who's got an electric car care to chime in? also, there's the angle of which is less polluting - making electricity via a power plant, or a car. i would bet the plant wins that scenario.
