quoted for fucking truth. i'm not a big guy, but those things are torture devices. i can't imagine a 6'3" person having to sit for 2 hours in one of those things. -

Bob Mould once made a GA audience sit down on the floor during a song.

Tyler is awesome. i dug what i saw of his set at SSF, and his records and playing are fantastic. also has a nice sense of humor.

the tickets for Agganis sold out very, very quickly. a friend who got shut out for presale and regular sale went Stub Hub. just be prepared for steep prices. when did Reeves join the band? I guess that Thompson left?

i have a press seat (not sure where it'll be.... last time it was in the last row of the front orchestra, center right, where your seat is) for Friday, and two sweet seats on Saturday (7th row, just a bit right off center aisle).

SINGLE-BAND, all-covers albums?
tinnitus photography replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
another example of an artist covering an entire record (kind of... not all songs from Damaged make it on here): -
see you on Friday and Saturday.

i finally did a show in 2016, last night....Graveyard! they were quite good, even though i am not very sold on the new LP.

Feb 6th Brooklyn show song request! Can you help me!
tinnitus photography replied to remphish1's topic in Just A Fan
my 13 year old is going to his 2nd Wilco show, and the first one where he'll be awake when the band gets on stage (he was 7 for the show at Lowell and was asleep in my wife's arms when i returned from the photo pit)... although it's not a rarity by any stretch, he'd love to hear "Heavy Metal Drummer" so if you could vote for that song on the 2nd show (30th, the Saturday), that would be swell! -
if you want to be in Newport, then yes... lodging will be very expensive. if you don't mind a ~30 min drive radius, you can find something easy enough. just be aware that getting to the grounds early to park can save considerable time getting out...

this is the best one that came up in the results of 'google search for this image' btw, the guy's name is Michael Oberman.

i'm kinda curious as to why who the person is actually matters. admittedly i cut and pasted from the facebook page w/o realizing his name wasn't included, but even if i had, it doesn't really seem to be a big part of the post. if it helps, here's what he looks like now:
-
that man was Jay Bennett.
-
read the first line of the 2nd paragraph of the text i quoted.

some words from the guy on the left:
-
awesome! be sure to do some bodysurfing at Los Cerritos. that beach is great.

we could try a pre or post-show swap?

i've never had anything from Hill Farmstead or Tree House, and the only Alchemist beer i've had is Heady Topper (several times), and it's really good. still, i am very, very happy that Trillium is so close to me (even if it's still a PITA to drive to the brewery in Southie) and cranks out a pretty wide range of styles on a frequent basis.
