i saw 'em 8 or 9 times and that was always tucked into the middle of the set, it seemed. but their set lists were always all over the place.

did GBV ever open w/ "Motor Away"? also, Wilco opening their covers set at SSF w/ "The Boys Are Back In Town"

Thank you! To tell you the truth, I do like writing but it takes longer than processing photos, and if i'm pulling double duty, it can take a few hours. luckily i had Sunday free to bang it out.

i prefer the 3rd LP from the Smokin' Purple Monkey Gang, _Redder Than A Baboon's Ass_. they got a lot better when Dick Polasky brought his considerable glockenspiel talents to the band.

thanks! i wasn't super happy w/ my photos (it wasn't the easiest, given the location, the relative short time, and fighting with people who were coming from the lobby and trying to find their seats) but i was happy with the review I wrote.

agreed. not many bands would do that. i am still bummed that i was living overseas when Iggy and the Stooges did an instore performance at Newbury Comics.
