One thing for sure, Ryan as a guitarist has a pretty great tone going on there. He's got some chops and probably doesn't get enough credit for his guitar work.

I haven't read those since they were first published. I need to revisit them. Me too. I have Summerland on deck following this one. Just noticed he has a new one coming out next month....

Damn, Face Dances tour....mine too! First record I purchased myself was George Harrison's Somewhere in England. I had been given the Beatles 62-66 comp, Styx's Paradise theatre and Forigner's Head Games on 8-track prior to that.

Last Friday was warm and sunny. Awoke Saturday morning to bright sun and the landscape covered in a layer of pristine white snow which had apparently fallen in large, sticky wet flakes. Beautiful. It was mostly gone by 2:00PM. I am in favor of April snow.

I didn't discover the Truckers until Decoration Day and have to say that it, and the Dirty South are probably their strongest records. Saw 'em a total of four times w/Isbell and am thankful for it; (although God knows my hearing probably suffered). Let's hope both camps can continue to produce amazing music. Maybe something really positive can come from this in regards to new songs. Change is a great inspiration.

I dig this one. I already wear round specs.....this makes me wish I hadn't just shaved my mustache off yesterday. -

Ok...this produced the first laugh of the day. Course, tack on Lemmy to any surname and I'm going to chuckle at the thought imagining a small dark haired child wearing dark shades and little button growths on his left cheek. Bon and Angus Skurj don't produce the same effect since they conjure a somewhat classic Celtic connotation. Now, Ozzy Skurj? Geezer Skurj? Oh yeah.......

I agree with that statement. Not quite there yet tho. on that one. I'm gonna throw this out there for WTW: I like all the songs on Boxer, already love a few but as an album I think the second half bogs down a bit. Finishing up w/ Ada and Gospel back to back just slows things too much. BTW I love Ada.

Dusty in Memphis is a classic. Highly reccomend the vinyl re-issue on the Four Men with Beards label. Another good one is Dusty Springfield: A Brand New Me circa 1970 which I think follwed up Dusty in Memphis.
