Rt.619 Dream Sunlight through the webbing of our fingers glows like amber Kissed the rail in absence of reaction and you in abstention then drifted back towards redemption in the tall grass and detritus along side the road Think it was the fire that burned it all clean beneath the trees in the weeds you'll find your precious things like freckles and crows feet and tabs from old pull top cans

She looks just like a Doonesbury character in that shot. "Boopsie" maybe.

Never seen this before. What a great, great film.

Never having read Richard Price before this was a pleasant surprise. I've owned this book for three or four years, bought it used for a couple of bucks because I've always been a closet fan of mysteries and crime drama; (I'm a huge Elmore Leonard buff). Never got around to reading it until now. I was desperate for new reading material. This is a slow boil mystery and there must be something intriguing about it since I knocked out about half of it's 370+ pages yesterday.

Getting rid of the crackles when playing new Vinyl
jimmyjimmy replied to thebunk's topic in Someone Else's Song
Huh. One of my nephews just bought me this new and I was recently marveling at how good it sounded straight from the wrapping. Inconsistencies in the production process I suppose. -
It's not my favorite album of all time, but it's my Fav. Neil record and I just like seeing it posted again. As for my #1, I couldn't pick one if you put a gun to my head.

Fan Boy. Your as bad as I. Notice how Andy nails his sound. Doesn't sound dated at all. Classic It's all pretty good natured between them right now, let's hope that playful banter doesn't turn into dicontented hubris.

They need work. They still got it tho. Tis Very good stuff. This may be worth the $ for a trip to DC.

I think "resurrected" is a more appropriate term.

Hey, have any of you bookworms seen David Sedaris live? He'll be here in town in April and tix. go on sale next week. I've read most of his work ; (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and was just wondering if this live gig is worth checking out.

I only slightly cringe at these. When I first heard Matt Ward's "Here Comes The Sun Again" on the Caddy commercial I went through a few brief emotional responses. First, "COOL! M. Ward". Secondly, "Shit, it's a Cadillac commercial". Thirdly, "pfft...what ever". It's not that I care their licensing their work for products, it's more selfishness on my part. Like M. Ward is our little secret kind of thing. Which I acknowledge is totally nuts. The guy has to make a living and honestly this is a much more lucrative way of producing income. You can't fault an artist for that. NPR is doing a stor

Another nod for Brick. The sound wasn't very good, and it's difficult to follow along with the dialog; (most of which really isn't essential to the story anyway, it just sets the tone). But It's a fun little flick. "Hey, was there a fight"???

Regardless of your feelings towards the recorded output, don't allow yourself to miss them live if they're in your neck of the woods. It's like, an "experience-man". ( No kiddin, they are somethin else live)

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Eggers previous stuff....so feel free. I have read an excerpt from " What is the What" and I'm willing to give it a shot. At some point, way down the road. NR.

Wont bore you guys with the normal fawning after show remarks although they'd all be more than well deserved. But I will say this: Something about the man dressed in dark denim walking out onto the stage, splitting the monitors and standing at the edge sans the mike and breaking into "someone else' song". Bearing down on us with that "look", trying to size us up; (an eyebrow slightly raised, inquisitive and authoritative all at one. He owned that joint, and I for one was glad to hand over the keys and give it to him. It appeared at times he was having fun up there, I was glad for that.
