To the denizens of the RTT: Imagine my surprise while during undoubtedly the best concert I've seen all year long; (Last night, M.Ward @ the Satellite Ballroom in C,ville VA), the band began to play a cover song that had been stuck in my head the entire day. Matt Ward: "We're going to play an old English love song" And in his slow languorous delivery he began to warble the lyrics...."Lets Dance.......put on your red shoes and lets dance to the blues". A fantastic all around performance by an inspired group of musicians seen in an intimate setting by about three hundred people. And n

So. We'll be spinning vinyl selections from the Bowie and the Steve Miller catalog tonight. Requests? Bong jazz our speciality

Firstly, I am going to have "Lets dance" running through my brain for the rest of the day.... Secondly that string trimmer head is pretty cool and right on time as my 10 year old Ryobi is beginning to experience technical difficulties. How lame is it that I googled Shindaiwa and began "Ooh-ing and Ahh-ing" over the assorted models. Answer: Pretty lame.

Years ago I tried the gum but hated it so I gave it up and went cold turkey and was free of cigarettes for about thirteen years. I understand [the gum] it's supposed to be better now, effectiveness and taste. Just recently fell off the wagon and will allow myself the indulgence for the time being. Redshift, sincerely sorry to hear about your mom...I thinks that's the first double take I've ever done on someone's post here.

"Pfffft"........ YES! Seen them three times this year; (DBT I mean). In February I was left with tinnitus and the accompanying obligatory "ringing" in the ears for weeks later. As soon as that cleared up I saw 'em again. With ear plugs. Go to this show.

I voted for the chocolate "brown one" but prefer "Dum Dums" in the root beer and or cream soda flavors. A bunch of us here at work had a pretty lively conversation recently about out favorite Halloween treats and we learned there are those of us that are passionate about candy corn. For the record, i hate candy corn.

Saw them Saturday night and they were in fine form. There's no reason to not see this band Stacy still seems lost in spots...did he tour w/Chris and New Earth Mud? I saw that tour and can't recall. The brothers seemed in good spirits. lots of smiles back and forth...Chris had his freak on. Good show.

It is indeed. They have no qualms about my immediate presence and they will fly within a mere two or three feet of me. I also believe they take great pleasure in waiting until I am fully relaxed sitting with a hot beverage in my hands to swoop down from the trees and "buzz" past my head inevitably frightening the living daylights outta me. Mischievous little buggers....

Curious that you mention this as I currently have a pair that have been hanging around for the past two weeks. Ruby throats...I thought they were supposed to be pretty independent creatures but these two seem to be tighter than ticks. Male smaller than the female but with the collar, the female with the white stripe at the tips of her tail feathers. They were perched upon the pedals of gladiolas that I have setting out. And they talk up a storm to each other...."Twip, twip ....TWIP"!

Very light read, thematic coming of age story about an eccentric girl and a reserved young man. Contains references to the Conet project, short wave transmissions and there's two eclectic mix tapes incorporated in the narrative. Neat little read I knocked out in two evenings.

Beautiful......I see them this Saturday. Damnit.
