  1. here's a download link for that show you mentioned above - no interviews, just the 50 minutes of tunes. And yes, pristine sound quality! http://hotfile.com/dl/74247534/72d76bc/Wilco-Live-in-Munich-DVBS-09-24-2010-OMA_thierry0wnz.rar.html 1 Wilco (The Song) 2 Black Bull Nova 3 Ashes of American Flags 4 I Am Trying to Break Your Heart 5 One Wing 6 You Are My Face 7 A Shot in the Arm 8 Impossible Germany 9 Jesus Don't Cry 10 You Never Knew
  2. here's a bad quality version. god bless whoever actuallu stands in front of their TV with a camera lol (Moderator edit - see next post for a better quality video)
  3. this one is good, from How to Make it in America http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_9aaotk3PU
  4. hey thanks for the review I went to this same show in Toronto - pretty good but the vibe was lacking. For reasons that remain unexplained, they picked a 16,000 capacity venue for the show. I've been to Metropolis in Montreal many times - now that's a great venue and perfectly sized at about 2500 anyways it was pretty barren in toronto
  5. some pics from Toronto, taken by some friends of mine (in different sections)
  6. nice setlist, a lot of songs I've never heard live and would LOVE to - Airline, One By One, Muzzle of Bees sounds like it was a great show
  7. sorry, that was a tad aggro - my apologies
  8. Rihanna has way more fans than LA, not to mention she has multiple chart hits vs one crappy one for antebellum. And anyone who can't understand why Aerosmith gets 2x Rush's fee needs their head checked, seriously. They have so much more mainstream appeal it's incomparable. that said, I'm surprised at some of these fees - much higher than I would have ever thought...
  9. bravo, that was suprisingly hilarious and awesome!
  10. got through the first half this morning, and really digging it so far. I'm hearing some shoegaze influence - Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, M83 etc - nice! looking forward to the 2nd half - from reading this thread it seems like there's more beats and synthy stuff, which is surprising to me but exciting nonethless
  11. direct download link: http://ul.to/9ulix0/
  12. some great stories so far, keep em coming! I have sooo many, which I'll try getting to next week. The best was Eric B and Rakim at Masonic Temple in Toronto when I was in high school. By 1 am, the sell out crowd started to realize that they weren't showing up. The promoters put on the worst 3-man RnB group instead, without any announcement as to what was happening. Shitty RnB is a bad idea when you're trying to please angry hip hop fans. Basically, a full-on riot broke out - fights, bottles being thrown everywhere. People were ripping out entire sections of chairs on the balcony
  13. yeah I ordered two shirts last year the grey "cherry ghost" was perfect and has kept its shape and colour. I wear it constantly the yellow rooster one sucked from the moment I unwrapped it. Crappy material and shape. these are the perils of online ordering...
  14. Personally, I'd go with The Late Greats but I'd also enjoy The Diamond Claws, or Childlike & Evergreen and in honor of Baseball's recent troubles with steroids and cheating... Must Be High Nothing Up My Sleeve
  15. +1 for Rush. how anyone can be into that guys' voice is completely beyond comprehension
  16. I'd argue that you would have never heard of The National without its lead singer. Love it or hate it, without that baritone vocal I don't think they would be any more interesting than your average indie emo band. and this is coming from a big fan and yes, Billy Corgan's voice is annoying but would you really listen to SP more without him? c'mon
  17. OK I understand. Within the collector community, there are rules to keep quality control at its highest. I can appreciate that, and the work you do to compile all this stuff for everyone. That said, to someone not involved you could see how this might seem a tad rigid no? The quality of mp3 encoding has improved substantially over the past years. I mean no offense, it just sounds weird to tell someone that it's not cool for sharing a show in a certain way. The internet is a democracy!
  18. hmm, I'm curious as to why? There are plenty of people out there who would prefer a direct download rather than a torrent. Maybe the kbps could be bumped to 320 or something but FLAC is unecessarily huge for the casual listener. look at the Boston thread and how many people enjoyed a direct download rip of that set anyways maybe I'm missing something?
  19. this could very well end up as THE Wilco document for 2010. A near perfect snapshot of what these guys are doing this year, with unbeatable sound quality. I've listened to this set so many times now
  20. the link to the Boston download (posted above by Excitable Boy) is all you need. can't imagine a better recording than that, plus you get the full band
  21. yeah it's a good one for sure - reminds me a bit of Dylan
  22. much thanks for this, can't wait to check it out!!
