Yea - I wouldn't call it that either. They just take time off between tours. I think this time the feeling is it may be the end. I saw a recent photo of Keith the other day. The dude looked worse that usual.

The only way I would pay that much bread is if the price included a time machine to travel back to the 1969 tour.

I wonder how they are going to get Bill to fly to the states? Maybe he is coming over on a ship. Supposedly, that is the reason he left the band - he could no longer handle flying.
-
I was wondering about this:
-
I don't think I care for that. It seems to me they are playing too hard and too fast.

Station Man is a Danny Kirwan song. It's on the Fleetwood Mac album Kiln House. I'd say the original version is the best.
-
I wasn't to crazy about Luther at first - but I think I grew to like his style by the time of the last album.
-
Never Been To Spain (Hoyt Axton - Three Dog Night) I agree. But - I'd say Marc has burned all his bridges there.
-
They should have done Revolution Blues. I can hear Axl singing "I won't attack you, but I won't back you."
-
Totally weird.

I just read that Axl Rose and Neil did a song together at the Bridge School concert this past weekend.
-
I think Michael Stipe use to do that also - instead of using a TelePromter. I get the feeling that guy is pretty much fried. So that is why he has to use a book.

Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood) is a Bob Dylan song. He does some obscure songs sometimes - such as Goodbye Wheeling by Mel Tillis.
-
Hello L.A. Bye Bye Birmingham is a song by Delaney Bramlett and Mac Davis. Blue Cheer did the song - as well as several other bands.
-
He likes to do that once a year I think.

Robert does not want to do that sort of music anymore. And I don't think he could do it for more than a show or two. Jimmy, John Paul, and Jason were actually working with a new singer. But that fell through. I'd say the only reason that did that show was due to the respect they had for Ahmet Ertegun, and for the education fund named after him.

I am not sure I knew about it until I read about in that "According To... The Rolling Stones" book. I think it is also talked about in that Faces book that came out not too long ago. I don't recall if the credits state that on the album sleeve or not.

Those are Ronnie's set lists notes - I think.
-
I forgot about that one. I don't have any of the live albums, except for Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out.
-
I didn't get that album until a few years ago. I have them all now - up through Tattoo You. An album that often gets written off - Their Satanic Majesties Request - I actually like to listen to from time to time. It's a definite oddity among Stones album.
-
I like the song Till The Next Goodbye from that album. That's Kenny Jones playing drums on It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It).

I am watching the archived David live chat. He starts out by talking about being "just exactly perfect". I find that hilarious. Here's the link again: David (live chat). He mentions he likes Wilco quite a bit. Rhino is putting this show out on vinyl for Record Store Day: Grateful Dead Live at Winterland Arena on 1971-05-30 Or rather, part of it.

I've read about it online, but I have never heard it. Waiting On A Friend is one of my favorite songs.

I think Dancing With Mr. D is not so great either (except for the fact it mentions my state). They recorded a lot of songs for that album.
