  1. I like Burn. I don't care for the last two, but Burn is ok. There is going to be some Rainbow re-issues also. I think I would only want Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Rising, Long Live Rock 'n' Roll, and On Stage. I just saw this on Expecting Rain: Derek and the Dominos' 'Layla' Reissue to Feature Phil Spector-Produced Songs It seems to not have all the stuff that is on this version The Layla Sessions: 20th Anniversary Edition. Which I bought sometime in the mid 1990s. That live album kills the studio stuff anyhow.
  2. That reminds me - I meant to post this the other day. 'My Own Love Song', with Dylan soundtrack, gets North American distribution
  3. Also - about half the songs on Physical Graffiti are out takes. Although there are several exceptions - I often think a band is done after their first three or four albums. It could be this idea has to do with the length of time the band existed, the era they made records in, the genre of music, etc.
  4. I heard You and I at the end of the new NBC show Perfect Couples this week.
  5. I've never seen a source for this show. There are sources out there for the May 1st, May 2nd, and May 5th shows, but not the 6th.
  6. It would be nice to have that concert footage in non-bootleg quality though.
  7. Bob Dylan's Renaldo and Clara To Be Finally Released
  8. Jeremiah (TV series 2002-2004) I recall seeing episodes of this show years ago. It was originally on Showtime. I must have seen it on USA or the Sci-Fi channel. The whole run of the show is on Hulu.
  9. I don't know about that. It's his passion.
  10. That release could have more to do with Rhino, than The Grateful Dead. I read somewhere once that is one of the ways record companies are keeping the cd alive - by way of box sets and special releases that hardcore fans are going to buy. I think in the information for the Europe release, they said they were not even going to go ahead with the pressing unless a certain number were pre-ordered. It's almost like a Rhino Handmade release. I already own somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 hundred dollars worth of GD boxsets. I am happy these days just to go to Archive.org and listen to the sho
  11. It's worth it, but there is no way I could justify spending that sort of bread on music these days.
  12. I clicked on the pre-order button just for kicks, and their website had crashed. I guess people must be going for it. If I want it, I will probably get it like I did the Fillmore West 1969: The Complete Recordings boxset.
  13. Europe '72: The Complete Recordings ($450 bucks)
  14. It is in 9 parts, but I am use to watching shows and movies on Youtube, so it was no big deal. There is some overlap with the Beyond The Lighted Stage film, but it is still informative.
  15. I don't have the Live At Royal Albert Hall album. I should pick that cd up at some point.
  16. I even have the reunion album: Byrds (1973). Besides all the studio albums, I also these two releases: Live at the Fillmore — February 1969 and The Preflyte Sessions.
  17. Yes. He is the Byrds authority. He wrote all the liner notes that you can find in the cd booklets in the re-masters. Which, as I have said before, are some of the best sounding cds I have ever heard.
  18. Rush 2011 Tour Dates I watched the 2112 and Moving Pictures Classic Albums documentary on Youtube yesterday. It was really good.
  19. I think here where I live it is on very late now. My local PBS station runs some sort of religious show on Saturday nights - which I find odd. I mainly say that due to the fact we have 4 or 5 religious channels here. I don't know why PBS needs to run a religious show also. The episode that Phish is on is something else. There were a lot of people there.
  20. Do you live near Pittsburgh? That is what the Pittsburgh channel runs all the time. John Denver had some great songs. At least, Take Me Home, Country Roads and Rocky Mountain High are great songs. I have not watched Austin City Limits in a long time. It's funny how they use to mainly feature country artists, and local Texas bands. Not much anymore, I don't think. I have several episodes on video. The one featuring Whiskeytown/Old 97s comes to mind.
  21. I doubt many people buy cds these days, unless they are old or a music freak of some sort. Sony will close South Jersey CD plant
  22. I will just say he has not answered my emails in a long time. I thought of this not to long ago, as someone asked me why the recent Owl and Bear Wilco Archive links were not appearing in Wilcobase. I basically quit sending the links to him. I don't want to sound disrespectful, as I know this stuff can take up you time, sometimes. But, if Wilcobase is going to remain idle, maybe Via Chicago should take it over.
  23. I think there were several Jerry releases last year.
