That sounds about right. In his last book, he actually writes about sitting down and talking to some fans. He seemed as surprised as they were. He even has a security guy that rides with him. I saw an interview with him that was conducted at Rush-Con. He writes some really great stuff, and is a hell of a drummer, but I don't think I would want to meet him.

Also - I know cds ain't the greatest, but they sure as hell sound better than Mp3s. I think it really comes down to money. I am curious to hear the releases when they come out though. I will probably just wait until someone does a FLAC rip of the vinyl and then check them out.

I am not to keen on limited edition stuff, particularly when it really means someone will end up selling the records on Ebay for a bunch of money. But, he does what he does.

I know they sound great, and a lot of people seem to be record crazy these days, but what about the rest? I suppose that is what the digital download is all about. Still, it would be nice to get a cd. I guess he must be paying for all of this himself.

The music seemed better than the song.

I like that song. What do you think the new one?

In one of his travel posts a couple of years ago, there was a photo of him on his bike at a gas station that I have been by many times over the years. It must have been after a show in Pennsylvania somewhere. As I am not all that far from the PA border. From what I have read, the experience you guys had was not normal. He apparently does not like to be bothered at all.

Robert Plant Returns To Americana With Band of Joy He is doing a version of Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down. I wonder if he will ever do anything other than pick up awards and pose for photographs?

Yes, I did. I was going to say - there is one show that gets away with such things. Although, I think the writers and producers were called out by various organizations many times. I still can't they believe the scene with Jack and the sniper. Anyhow - at the moment I can't think of any remakes I would go see - or have seen. I am sort of intrigued by the current practice of taking TV shows from the days of my youth and making movies out of them. As I have said before, I would go see a Magnum P.I. movie. They could never duplicate the chemistry among the actors on that show, but I wo

No, they had John Paul Jones. Also - as was mentioned, this is the place to go: Rush is a band (blog)

We don't need it anyway. Watch the original. In the good old days of the cold war, you could portray the Russians and Chinese as bad people and get away with it.

It's under the multimedia section.

Poor old guy. At least Rush has aged well. Have you ever watched The Biggest Fan segments on their website? The one with Alex is hilarious.

Although, Aerosmith, and Dio, Black Sabbath, and Ozzy all did they hidden keyboard deal.

I believe they are staying with the guy who did their last album. I have read a lot of complaints about the sound of Vapor Trails over the years. I have never really heard it - except for a song or two.

I know a lot of people got into the band by way of Chronicles.

Bob Lefsetz has a lot of posts about this very issue. Personality Counts The Long Haul -
That is right. I did not list all of the compilations either.

I have the ones that were re-done however many years ago. I actually bought: all at the same time. The dude who use to own the record store here sold all of them to me for 8 bucks new. The good old days.

I saw that. Geddy has always said they have no "bonus tracks" to put out. He claims there are no unreleased Rush songs. I am not going to buy them again unless there is some great improvement in sound - such as HDCD.

How much is too much for Neil Young tickets?
Analogman replied to AJ673's topic in Someone Else's Song
I think there is some discussion of ticket prices in this recent Neil Young thread. I figure at the end of the day, you either pay the price and go, or not. What choice is there? Although, I have noticed some articles up at various places lately that talk about how major artists are having trouble selling tickets, and actually cutting their prices, or offering two for one deals.
