I could not think of his name. I just know him as the dude from China Beach.

It was neat to see Jeff Kober playing a minor role.

I was also thinking of the fact that some of them walk around with guns, like The Black Panthers did. I am sure at least some of them have some sort of active file by this point.

I wonder if the FBI will do to the Teabaggers (that name still cracks me up) what they did to The Black Panther Party.

I love books, but I don't see where it makes much sense to print reference books these days. I've never seen a Deadbase book.

I think Jon is pissed off that they went ahead with the tour when he was sick Up at Dime a Dozen

Speaking of the future: 'Lost' Star Tapped for 'Hawaii Five-O' I don't get that. The re-makes of Knight Rider, and Night Stalker failed. I guess they think it will be different this time.

Boiler Suit John Bonham did also. That was due to A Clockwork Orange.

Maybe I should have said Prince. I suppose people overlook his age, when they are going on about old guys playing energetic music. Same with Sonic Youth. There must be a line there somewhere - early/mid 50s, ok. If you are later 50s-mid 60s, not ok.

I've never got to see them, but I like them quite a bit. I am not sure when I discovered the band. It may have been at some point in the late 70s. I take it you known that in place of Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson, you will be getting Oliver Wakeman and BenoƮt David.

Since we are naming bands - the NFL should get Phil up there to drop some bombs.

He is not the only one (of course): Gingrich McCain You could post stories like that all day - from both the left and right. It goes on everyday in the lives of regular folks. These guys screw up because they try to use their power and wealth to cover things up. In the days before instant access, this could be pulled off more successfully. Now, not so much. It could also be that the people in the inner circle know that there is money to be made by way of a book deal - so they are less likely to remain loyal these days.

Just Simon - They have been playing that way for a while now. I think it is so Pete can concentrate on solos, and jumping around. I've seen video from the last tour. Some nights were better than others, just like any other band I suppose. I say this as a giant Who fan - no matter who is in the group, I still get excited to see them. Wilco only has two members that have been there since the beginning, and they certainly don't make the music they use to make. I still think the only time people really accept old rock stars is when Paul McCartney is playing. Everyone else gets knocke

That's the show where Bob tells the taper that he should move back in order get a better recording. I really like that song Loser.

It's up early today. Taper's Section (February 8 - February 14, 2010)

It may be at some point. On one of those posts, some dude has a list of shows. I think it is an ongoing project. I have never heard any of them, so I may grab some to check them out.

For those who are interested, there are some people posting New Earth Mud shows at bt.etree.org.

Is that when it began? I don't recall bands playing in the olden days.

I think someone mentioned ZZ Top (on another message board I am on). But didn't they already play a Super Bowl show? (I have not really watched a football game since the early 1980s, so without looking it up, I don't know.)
