  1. It's on the Close to The Edge cd re-master now. They also did Every Little Thing (The Beatles) and I See You (The Byrds), on Yes (their first album). They also covered Everydays (Buffalo Springfield) on Time and A Word (their second album).
  2. Tell Laura I Love Her - Ray Peterson (1960). That song was one of those teen death songs - like Last Kiss (1962) by Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders (also covered by Pearl Jam).
  3. Alex and Geddy were on That Metal Show this week.
  4. I don't listen to his stuff often, but I have always liked Eventually.
  5. I respect that - I just don't dig it. I have an original pressing of that album - by the way.
  6. Check this out: The last thread about best live shows - with links to other threads.
  7. Sir Douglas Quintet - Mendocino Sir Douglas Quintet - Nuevo Laredo Doug Sahm - She's About A Mover (Live From Austin Texas) I'd like to have this: Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet (The Complete Mercury Recordings)
  8. It still amazes me that Warren plays in three bands at more or less the same time - Gov't Mule, The Allman Brothers (who just announced the dates for their 2009 Beacon run), and now The Dead.
  9. I'm not really that much of a PF fan, but I do like that song - except for the noisy parts, that is.
  10. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of travel time in one of those deals. We just went around the state though - mostly, to the mountains.
  11. There is at least one photo in the first volume of the taper's book that shows them, The Allman Brothers, and Fleetwood Mac all on stage together. Must be from the same run - that would have been cool to see.
  12. 2007-04-06 Scroll down to the bottom of the page - click on Download this show from the Wilco Archive @ Owl and Bear - in this example, scroll down again, click on the TXT file - this will tell you what disc/track number of the song you want is, click on the track, it will download to your desktop - or wherever you have downloads set to download to - then, check out the owl&bear download FAQ.
  13. You were halfway there - (no Mp3s though): Wilcobase-->song search-->click on the show-->see if there is a link to The Wilco Live Show site-->direct download the track
  14. I don't think there is a name for them yet. There is some discussion of the new songs played at the Bridge School shows: 10-25-2008 show 10-26-2008 show
  15. Yes - but that is hard on the system - as I have learned. I hope you guys are donating some bread to the The Owl's bandwidth fund.
  16. That was before they were showing the ceremony on TV - but I guess footage has made it's way out there over the years. Mike Love made quite a speech at that one.
  17. A bunch of Black Crowes album premiere shows and a 1995 show have recently been put up at bt.etree.org: bt.etree.org link I have a DVD of the Lions Premiere - it was broadcast over the internet.
  18. His version of On Broadway always cracks me up.
