As someone I work with said today - if there is going to be a new depression, people probably are not going to stand in line for soup, or ride around on boxcars this time, but rather raise some hell. If such a thing happens, then the government would need to be prepared to squash any sort of organized civilian uprising. This sort of thing makes me think of the the events leading up to The Postman. -

I saw Sen. Lieberman standing behind Sen. McCain the other day when he was making a speech in PA - the dude was smiling and laughing every time Sen. McCain made a crack about Sen. Obama - pretty messed up deal. -

The Six Bible Passages Used To Condemn Homosexuals When you do a google search, a lot of links come up, actually several million. The link above containes some essays on how the passages most people quote have been wrongly interpreted to condemn homosexuals. I am far removed from the religious training I went through as a child and pre-teen, (and yes, I have seen people speak in tongues) so I do not recall if the above information makes sense, or if the guy is just another person putting a spin on things. I posted about that a while back - it got overlooked I think. -
That's the thing with reference books, they get outdated. Particularly now a days, when you you have all of this tweaking and re-release of AUD tapes going on.

Since I am all about the history of whatever, those books are great for learning about the history of taping GD shows, and finally, the history of the Betty Board Tapes.

I'd say besides Shakey, and the DLR book, those are the best "rock books" I have ever read.
