  1. I agree with that - he does speak rather fondly of them.
  2. I am sure someone has scanned them all by now - and they are probably out there to snag - but I have not found them. I will have the first volume this week.
  3. I'd like to know why they just don't reprint them - hell, they should get GD Inc, to do it. I was thinking of asking you to photocopy it.
  4. The only listing I could really find for it was some old posts where people were selling them for 400-500 bucks.
  5. I have never heard of them playing an acoustic set - should be interesting. I believe they are trying to re-connect with their blues roots these days. I was never that much into them - but, Billy is a hell of a guitar player.
  6. Sugar Mountain is just around the bend, eh.
  7. If not that, then they will be doing what The Doors did - get someone (Ian Astbury/Brett Scallions) to sing the songs who does so in thier own way. I wonder who the "American guy" is - Chris Cornell, perhaps.
  8. Grateful Dead Live at Veterans Auditorium on 1969-06-27 The bonus track of Weir singing Dire Wolf on the Workingman's Dead re-master comes from the show above - dig the pedal steel.
  9. I use to look at Justin Kreutzmann's blog - It's still active I see.
  10. From Dodd's site The Stranger (Two Souls in Communion)(live at JAHRHUNDERT HALLE - Frankfurt, West Germany 4/26/72) (McKernan)
  11. I think I have seen those up as a torrent somewhere. I can't recall - it could have been archive.org. I rather like that song The Stranger.
  12. I suppose due to so many great songs, those songs fall by the way side. Operator is basically a old blues/Robert Johnson rip-off - I dig it though. I need to get my hands on those songs he was putting together for an album - information.
  13. I hope they don't go the Styx/Journey/Boston/Judas Priest/Yes route.
  14. Metallica Death Magnetic - CD vs. "Guitar Hero" comparison (Youtube link)
  15. I would bet that it his name on the contract only - the guys in the band are just hired hands. I am actually surprised he has not replaced them yet - if one looks at his track record with regards to the people he has had playing with him. As I recall, people were not that crazy about Easy Tiger (much like Sky Blue Sky). It will be interesting to see how the new one goes over.
  16. I figure the record company had something to do with that decision. It's his name that people are going to be looking for - at least those who are not already fans.
