  1. I sort of remember watching that on TV. It was Rolling Stone Magazine's 10th anniversary special. It was on CBS - if I recall correctly.
  2. I don't think I knew that Grace ever sat in with the band:
  3. I think it would be cool if they did that.
  4. They didn't do show by themselves though, did they? They had Zak, Pino, and Rabbit in the band.
  5. I don' think so. But - Roger once did a solo tour, and I believe Pete played a few songs during the show. Oh - another cool thing to see is The Who's performance in the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus film.
  6. I've never got to see them.
  7. I'd say you are right. I think I first heard the band a couple of years after that - around 75/76. I was 9/10 years old.
  8. That's when I would have liked to see the band - between 1969-1971.
  9. I doubt this dude will be selling that for very long. I see - he is selling the actual record, not the music. Billboard article:
  10. That's all good stuff. Although - you can sure tell the difference between the stuff filmed on video vs. the stuff filmed on 16/35 mm. The Thirty Years of Maximum R&B video has to be the only video I ever bought that came with a booklet inside. You could probably find the Concert for Kampuchea on Youtube - if you have never seen it. One I do not own is - The Who: Who's Better, Who's Best (2006). They have said that before - and didn't really follow through on it. I guess we will see.
  11. This is interesting (if they play something besides the hits, that is)
  12. This is an excerpt from a Rolling Stone article posted today:
  13. I had a college student working for me a few years back that had a purse made out of a warped record album.
  14. I have not done that in a couple of decades. I think you need a gas oven. I don't have one of those. Maybe you could Jeff to sign them - he may get a kick out of the shape.
  15. You are old. You should know how to fix warped record albums.
  16. It's also available by way of the Wilco online store.
  17. The page is up for the: Beat Club film (Two of favorite Beat Club performances: Slade doing Hear Me Calling and Santana doing Jungle Strut.)
  18. I've always rather liked that song Clementine ever since I first heard it. The version from February 2nd, 1968 (Crystal Ballroom, Portland, Oregon) is fantastic.
  19. This guy (from Billboard) forgot the Dick Clark produced film Birth of The Beatles (1979):
  20. Rolling Stone article about the tour:
  21. That is true. What Mr. H posted reminds me of what I once read about The Doors Absolutely Live (album). That there were hundreds of edits. And just think - that would have been done by hand back then.
  22. From what I have seen/heard of that tour - I am sure they did have to do a lot of fixing.
