  1. Look in the After The Show section. I can tell you that I have been around here a long time - and I have seen threads about secret shows, but do not recall Jeff or the band playing secret shows. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. Even if Jeff did such a thing - I doubt he would want someone to pay a bunch of money for such a show.
  2. BBC TO Reunite Genesis for Documentary
  3. I am getting around to checking the new releases out. I have not listened to music with headphones on in about 4 years. I thought I would check out the new discs that way for the hell of it. My first thought is the sound is cleaner and fuller than the the sound on the boxset. Dazed and Confused is now credited as "Page - inspired by Jake Holmes" You can really hear a difference during Moby Dick. You can hear John breathing in some places. Oh, and Robert Plant does have great hair. His is gone, so is mine (mostly).
  4. Sometimes these two songs play in my head: Tony Carey - A Fine Fine Day (For A Reunion) Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer
  5. Sometimes on Fridays after work I like to dig around on Youtube and take a chance on a show I have not heard. I just landed on Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain 5/8/1977 a few minutes ago.
  6. I guess there are different prices depending on what you get (Hittin' The Notie prices): Blu-ray 99 bucks, cds 80 bucks, records 80 bucks. Link to the Amazon prices: 1971 Filmore East Recordings
  7. You know - I have never seen a Blu-Ray or heard one for that matter. I don't think I have heard a 5.1 mix either. Amazon has this listed for 64 bucks. I am guessing some of these tracks must be the ones Tom hated - due to the horn player.
  8. It's up at the Live Wilco Archive.
  9. Setlist from the torrent: This matches what was posted on Facebook (except for the banter/band intro tracks).
  10. I wish I could make it up there next weekend. Lucinda Williams is playing the same stage where Jeff played.
  11. I didn't know that either. I guess Stephen lived in England for a time.
  12. bbop - Do you think he was referring to the Neil Young song Revolution Blues when he talking about ponchos and dune buggies?
  13. At some point I noticed he went over to stage left and wagged his finger at someone. Was it someone filming?
  14. I actually remember that being talked about on here.
  15. No - not even a barrier I don't think. Although - I did not make it all the way up front this time. This was actually my first time seeing Jeff/Wilco since 2006.
  16. I was there. I was about two or three people behind Paul and the dancing girl with the chopsticks in her hair. I recognized a few faces - probably people I saw there 10/11 years ago. I was with a friend of mine who does not know anything about Wilco/Jeff and does not really listen to such music. I think he sort of liked the show though. I was bummed out that I could not say hello to Jeff. The tour bus area was fenced off - years ago it was all very open. I usually don't try to play the that-new-song-sounds-like game. But I have to say that sometimes I was reminded of some of Pete Townshend's
  17. Don't forgot about that Mudcrutch album. I am still hoping they are going to do another one of those.
  18. I know what you mean. I have read that these sound good. And you can hear things that you could not hear before. I see Jimmy is taking a page from the Bruce Springsteen School of Design - no liner notes. There is just a booklet with a bunch of photos stuck in the middle of the cd sleeve. That's a shame. I think How The West Was Won and the BBC Sessions has some of the worst cd art of all times.
  19. I managed to pick up the 2 disc versions a little while ago. I don't if I will get around to listening to them tonight though.
  20. Maybe Pittsburgh Dad will be there.
