  1. That's all good stuff. Although - you can sure tell the difference between the stuff filmed on video vs. the stuff filmed on 16/35 mm. The Thirty Years of Maximum R&B video has to be the only video I ever bought that came with a booklet inside. You could probably find the Concert for Kampuchea on Youtube - if you have never seen it. One I do not own is - The Who: Who's Better, Who's Best (2006). They have said that before - and didn't really follow through on it. I guess we will see.
  2. This is interesting (if they play something besides the hits, that is)
  3. This is an excerpt from a Rolling Stone article posted today:
  4. I had a college student working for me a few years back that had a purse made out of a warped record album.
  5. I have not done that in a couple of decades. I think you need a gas oven. I don't have one of those. Maybe you could Jeff to sign them - he may get a kick out of the shape.
  6. You are old. You should know how to fix warped record albums.
  7. It's also available by way of the Wilco online store.
  8. The page is up for the: Beat Club film (Two of favorite Beat Club performances: Slade doing Hear Me Calling and Santana doing Jungle Strut.)
  9. I've always rather liked that song Clementine ever since I first heard it. The version from February 2nd, 1968 (Crystal Ballroom, Portland, Oregon) is fantastic.
  10. This guy (from Billboard) forgot the Dick Clark produced film Birth of The Beatles (1979):
  11. Rolling Stone article about the tour:
  12. That is true. What Mr. H posted reminds me of what I once read about The Doors Absolutely Live (album). That there were hundreds of edits. And just think - that would have been done by hand back then.
  13. From what I have seen/heard of that tour - I am sure they did have to do a lot of fixing.
  14. Look in the After The Show section. I can tell you that I have been around here a long time - and I have seen threads about secret shows, but do not recall Jeff or the band playing secret shows. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. Even if Jeff did such a thing - I doubt he would want someone to pay a bunch of money for such a show.
  15. BBC TO Reunite Genesis for Documentary
  16. I am getting around to checking the new releases out. I have not listened to music with headphones on in about 4 years. I thought I would check out the new discs that way for the hell of it. My first thought is the sound is cleaner and fuller than the the sound on the boxset. Dazed and Confused is now credited as "Page - inspired by Jake Holmes" You can really hear a difference during Moby Dick. You can hear John breathing in some places. Oh, and Robert Plant does have great hair. His is gone, so is mine (mostly).
  17. Sometimes these two songs play in my head: Tony Carey - A Fine Fine Day (For A Reunion) Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer
  18. Sometimes on Fridays after work I like to dig around on Youtube and take a chance on a show I have not heard. I just landed on Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain 5/8/1977 a few minutes ago.
  19. I guess there are different prices depending on what you get (Hittin' The Notie prices): Blu-ray 99 bucks, cds 80 bucks, records 80 bucks. Link to the Amazon prices: 1971 Filmore East Recordings
  20. You know - I have never seen a Blu-Ray or heard one for that matter. I don't think I have heard a 5.1 mix either. Amazon has this listed for 64 bucks. I am guessing some of these tracks must be the ones Tom hated - due to the horn player.
