  1. I'm in for 100 in twenties plus three dollars and 63 cents!!!
  2. I totally agree, you really can't go wrong those albums. I have them on my iPod and I created two playlists, "Jeff Tweedy: Uncle Tupelo Songs" and "Jeff Tweedy: Golden Smog Songs", so depending on my mood I can have them both ways.
  3. So I get home tonight and what do I have in my mailbox, that's right, tickets for Cooperstown and Vermont, thing is I just bought them on Friday, now that's the quickest I've ever gotten tickets. I bought Hartford on Wednesday, should I be concerned?
  4. Personally I love the song, makes me cry, but it's kind of personal and I can relate to the singer 100%, it's almost like Jeff was in my head for that one.
  5. Say what? Are you saying there are Spring & Summer shows? Where do I go to get tickets? What's the top secret password? Are they playing in my favorite city?
  6. So I've got tickets to Hartford, Cooperstown & Burlington (I can't believe they left presale open until this morning). I have a bid in on for MassMoCA, I was gonna bid 3 dollars and 63 cents, so I could actually see Wilco for the price of a soda and a pack of smokes, but it's a good cause so I figured I throw in the 100 in twenties ;^) Hopefully they will still have tickets for Newport in 2 weeks (next payday).
  7. Got in for Hartford, Section D row Q, let summer vacation begin!
  8. Would "Free Beer" be to much to ask?
  9. I think what turns me off the most is when you go to the Mass MoCA page and look at the diagram describing the process, there is a picture representation of the top 500 bids, the one at the top of the stack is $100,000, yes, that's right 100 Grand, clearly a show I won't be bring the kids to this year ;^)
  10. I wrote to Higher Ground about the presale and I got this in response: John- The only presale for Hartford is directly via the band (www.wilcoweb.net). The decision was made to limit the presale to just the band since that venue is so small. Thanks for supporting live music. I'm not really sure what that means, I would assume "the band" can get as many tickets as they want so I won't take it literally, but that isn't even a valid web site, so I'll assume the mean wilcoworld, but that site doesn't have any info, oh well, I tried.
  11. They are busy this morning, this saw this on wilcoworld 03 Aug 2012 / Rochester, NY / Highland Bowl Pre-sale: Weds. April 11 at 10AM EDT On sale: Fri. April 13 at 10AM EDT Support: Lee Renaldo Band (of Sonic Youth)
  12. Weird, it's the only show they didn't give that info on, I just noticed that, good catch.
  13. I hate that room, the acoustics are horrible. I was thinking I might bid $3.63 it would be pretty cool to get in for the price of a soda and some smokes I was on the fence with Red Rocks, that package deal was looking mighty sweet, but I think with these shows I'll get more bang for the buck.
  14. From the MassMoCA page: In a break with the sometimes inconvenient -- and frequently frustrating -- tradition of awarding scarce concert tickets to the person who happens to be the first to break through a long telephone queue, tickets for the concert are being sold through a unique “Name your Own Price” auction/lottery. “It’s an experiment, which we hope proves to be more civilized, more fair, and more fun than the standard mode of ticket sales,” Don't get me wrong, I love MassMoCA and all, but please don't insult me by calling a limited seating highest bidder method "more civilized, more
  15. Oh BOY!!! Just when I was really bumed about not making Red Rocks ;^( I think I need to go to all of them, but Hartford and MassMoCA are a must, Cooperstown could be pretty cool too. It looks to me, with the exception of Hartford, that these could all be outdoor GA shows, anyone have any idea?
  16. Oh I'll be fine, we're still friends. Right now I'm counting down the days until I get my Tweedy Signature Martin, should be early May.
  17. My story is a little different, I brought UT/Tweedy/Wilco into the relationship. I saw and got into Tupelo 1 1/2 years before I started dating my ex. She knew of the UT break up, she saw my excitement for Son Volt & Wilco, but she resisted, sure I dragged her to Wilco and Son Volt shows and she always enjoyed them, but when I'd play them at home no-go. So I stopped bringing her to shows, I spent over 10 years going to Wilco shows solo, she came to the Garden when they opened for Neil, and she had a great time again, so I put Sky Blue Sky on for the ride home, nope still no go. Then she
  18. Hey thanks, I was hoping someone up front would be able to catch it, I was in the front of the balcony but could barely make it out.
  19. Last night I finished editing it, I'll put it on disc and give it a listen, then I'll put it out there.
  20. I was just having fun, yes I taped both shows, as did another taper.
  21. I forget what song that was for, I seem to recall it being Sumerteeth, I'll have to check the tape, but ya, '99 isn't what I'd call mid-90s either, although "asshole" may be a little harsh.
  22. And don't you have a birthday next year too?
