Art was one criteria, they actually played favorites and seniority too, I had a friend there and he'd pull my envelope and put it on the top of the stack, being a taper it actually didn't change my seat location, but I was never shut out ;^) In Fall of '91 I was actually called by the ticket office wondering why I hadn't ordered for the tour, I thought I had ordered, my roommate offered to do me a favor and bring my mail order to the post office for me, turned out my roommate had just lost a lot of money in a gambling habit and pocketed my money.

With regards to Pajama Club, I had no idea he was recording and sorta had a long conversation with him during their set, his mics were kinda low, I'm gonna guess you won't be seeing this one, sorry . Now if Bern wasn't so nice and polite he might have pointed out (to a fellow taper even) that he was taping and I wouldn't have talked over their set .

Entitlement? I don't know about that, I see a lot of people venting their frustration about not getting tickets. Maybe I need to go back and read some of these posts but I don't recall anyone saying "I can't believe I didn't get tickets, don't they know who I am". I'm fairly certain everyone here is completely grateful that Wilco does this for their fans.

In as soon as they became available, could not get NY Did get MD.

1) Having been a fan of Uncle Tupelo and actually got to see them once I too bought the first Wilco and Son Volt cd's when they came out, and I too thought Son Volt was the better band at first (until Being There). 2) I actully saw Son Volt a few times before Wilco, my first Wilco show was on the Being There tour when they opened for Sheryl Crow, 7/31/1997, which was the first time they came to Connecticut. The show was awesome, and there was maybe 30 people in the room, most of the people were drinking in the lobby.

Today being payday I went to the site to pick my son up a poster like I promised him at Solid Sound, sold out already, damn, lets hope Wilco puts some up for sale in the store like they did last year.

The funny thing is this was my son's first Solid Sound and Wilco show, he wanted to buy his mother and his (she's not my)girlfriend gifts, he came back with two tote bags, I didn't have the heart to tell him they give those away.

No Connecticut show, oh well, road trips it is!

1) Meeting and hanging out with lots of cool people. 2) Hanging out with my sons for their first Wilco show. 3) Watching Jeff play with the falcon, he looked like a kid on Christmas. 4) Two nights of Wilco.

Looks like I might make it, I'm going to bring my boys for Friday night and Saturday afternoon, my wife will come pick them up Saturday afternoon.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I have 2 extra weekend passes for Solid Sound, any takers?

It's a thought, I just remember some of the crowds and the way we were cattle herded through the museum, not to mention those stairs down to the dungeon for the indoor bathrooms. I think my wife might take them camping at a local beach/campsite weekend.

Any details, I have a campsite, but would rather not camp.
