  1. I think Wilco would be an awesome closer, but I understand your sentiments, it reminded me of the Woodstock in '94, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers played a smoking set that had the crowd pumped, then Peter Gabriel came out to close the weekend, now personally I love Gabriel, however looking around at the crowd I could see I was in the clear minority, tons of people flocked to the exits, and most of the rest spent their time during his set packing up, it was a bit a of a let down.
  2. Maybe the heating system makes too much noise and they need to turn the heat down when they record. But that could just be the old soundman in me.
  3. I have to agree to an extent, when AM came out (and Trace) I was excited, awesome I get two very legitimate Uncle Tupelos, both records were great, both seemed to carry on the UT vibe and at the same time they were very much different if you know what I mean. I do have to confess that I was more into Trace then AM at the time, but my IPod shows that AM has received many more listens then Trace in the time since.
  4. Is Pat on some kind of Bob Weir fixation?

    2011 tour dates?

    Portland, Orch 2, row 5 seats 7 & 8!!!
  6. Keep calling, we stayed there last year, and we've got reservations again this year, we actually got the same sites. Nice people, cool vibe, clean showers, as long as you don't get rude, loud and obnoxious you'll do fine.
  7. That's album title is friggin' genius! The cover is perfect, I can't wait to hear what it sounds like, I just don't like having to wait until NEXT January to get it, albums come out on Tuesdays, and January 1st is on a weekend next year, I think Tuesday is on the 3rd, so now I wonder, hmmmm.
  8. I disagree, some of the largest festivals ever have been no where near a town let alone a hotel, you don't need to look any further then Woodstock, I can't speak for the one in '99 but the first two were in the middle of no where. Not only that but the festival it self is less then 10,000 people, bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish do whole tours playing venues larger then that where the concert goers actually follow them from city to city, I'm pretty sure some of these people drank or did drugs. At least they are offering camping this year.
  9. Doesn't Warner own both Nonesuch and Reprise, I don't think that would be an issue here, and now that they are leaving now would be the time to do it.
  10. I know, I was on the phone with them all morning, counting down the minutes, for some reason I get every piece of email from them except a new passowrd! I run my own mail server and I know I'm not blocking their mail. I ended up with a new account using a Yahoo account which he said he linked to my old account, I got in at exactly 10:30, and "early worm" 2010 prices were sold out, but I got 5 tickets at regular "early worm" prices, but it not about the money, right, because I'M IN BABY!!!!!!!
  11. I know, and wouldn't you know it, I'm locked out of FrontGate!!!
  12. A Webcast would be nice, I can see it now... a quite romantic evening at home with the wife while listening to Jeff, only to have her yell out "I love you Jeff!" like she did at the Tarrytown show, I just had no idea he loved her too, hmmm.
  13. I bought some for my wife for Christmas, her mom got her a Keurig, the Keurig has been on ever since, I think I'll have to brew some up myself this weekend!
  14. We just put the show up on DIME yesterday. Tarrytown Music Hall thread
  15. Yes, you will find there are divergent opinions. It's not even an option to request that song.
  16. Got it, you were on that loop that goes around the playground when you first get in, we were on the next left, I think it was site 48. Hope to see you in June, I think we're bring the whole family this year.
  17. We wandered around town Sunday night everything seemed closed, it wasn't going to stop raining so we went back and hurridly took down our site in the dark and rain, a few hours later I was asleep in my warm dry bed. Were you in the site that had 5 or 6 tents pitched in it across from the bathrooms?
  18. I think this is the same place as Historic Valley Campground, either way I stayed there last year too. It was suppose to be the quite campground with no music and stuff, I think they threw those rules out the window, not that it was too loud or anything, but we had music going all weekend, and there was plenty off drinking and stuff too, a good time was had by all. I was talking to the lady and she was raving about how nice Wilco fans were, I guess the residents there had a bit of a concern over us, but they all loved it.
  19. I agree whole heartedly with your sentiment, however, I have a weird feeling that last year was a one shot deal, and this year it will be packed like other festivals, the dates aren't even announced yet and the town is booked, half of Pittsfield is book already.
  20. I think it was the Historic Valley Campground, the people were real cool there, and plenty of people (not me) walked from there to the Mass MoCA, it's about a 2 minute drive. They are closed until sometime next year.
