Of course it's all subjective, but some of the most beloved Phil and Friends shows are the "Q" shows, the quintet with Warren and Herring. Here's one worth checking out: https://archive.org/details/paf2001-07-07.mg210.pasternak.98755.flac16

The new '92 Beacon release is streaming here. I'm just through Statesboro, a song that I've grown infinitely tired of over the years, but I must say, it sounds great! http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/02/11/allman-brothers-band-beacon-1992-live-album-premiere/5293555/

Hey kidsmoke, (I'm sure you will and do not need me to ask), but for those of us who are not FB friends with Sue, please keep us updated on any public information she provides.

Great to meet you finally as well, Tim. I would've figured the chances of me getting to the rail last night were slim and none. My wife is always full of surprises! I even made it into Galactic's Instagram photo when Sharon stepped away to get some water. http://instagram.com/p/kJFoQBk5yA/ We had fun, I think you said was your first Galactic show, hope you had fun too.

All positive light beaming to Sue and the Tweedy family. To your health.

I'm a Dark Star fan, of all eras. Of course not every version does it for me, but the basic openness of the song appeals to me, can be so different from version to version. But I agree, not the song i would put on to convince someone of the Dead.

Evoo has been great each time I've been there. great drinks, great food, great service, and great Wilco fans. I read some mixed reviews on Yelp, but our experiences have been consistently excellent. I remember Jeff doing the dinner giveaway for Craigie on Main at the Orpheum Evening With Wilco show. A buddy does business with that restaurant, so I knew they were also doing the backstage catering that night. Same the summer before at Harborlights, Jeff gave at least a shoutout to Craigie on Main.

I'm sure you'll do better than this, off my camera phone at One Eyed Jacks last year during JazzFest

I just called HOB for set times, she said she'll have them around 3:00, I'll post them here, but if you get them first and can do the same that would be great. I assume you're shooting tonight? Looking forward to seeing some good shots of Stanton!

Hey Tim, going with my wife tonight, so I got stadium seats. She doesn't like to stand all night (although she did fine for Shorty a couple weeks ago). A (small) price to pay for me. Anyway, having seats makes it easier for both of us to be there for Charles Bradley, who I was told not to miss.

Hey linclink, I notice you're also keeping the Wilco topic alive on the Hoffman Forum. This is weird. I didn't do too much research on this, but just looking at the credits for WTA, I didn't notice anything that would differentiate that release from others. But there has to be something legal going on with the royalties.

That's an excellent book, I highly recommend it. Aren't there also Uncle Tupelo or Son Volt references?

Good call. I don't know if it's the "most" underrated tune, will have to think about that some more, but I believe it to be a very underrated and under appreciated song by the Wilco cognoscenti (as far as I can tell). Always sounds great in every live version I've seen or heard.

Good question, I didn't include his intro to the series. He only reviewed the DP's up through and including 1974, which he wrote is the period that most interests him. So you don't see reference to any DP's from '76 on.

Sure, take it with a grain of salt, or many grains. I just love the passion. And wish I had the time to listen, let alone to listen, compare and compose. Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the tip about The Fine Print. Spend some time this weekend watching this 2011 concert, don't know how representative this is of the band or its current incarnation, but I'm having fun with it. Really looking forward to seeing these guys for the first time.
