  1. That must have been the one. Flattest no energy show I've ever been to.
  2. Nice to read. The last time I walked out of a show was Ratdog at the Orpheum, many years ago. Left at the set break. Never been back to see them since. I'll be seeing them at the Lockin festival, so glad to hear there's a chance I may enjoy their sets.
  3. White Denim tonight Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
  4. The full show video of that is available as I recall. I think it's one of my 450 "favorite" YouTube videos .
  5. Good news, figured as much since they're playing Lockin (and I'm going), but good to hear. Info must have come from Bert Holman, their manager, lives in Newton.
  6. Anyone get Play All Night, the '92 Beacon cd? Got it this weekend, it kills! Great playing, great recording.
  7. No, there were no video screens. By my count there are at least 3-4 cameras filming. You can see one side stage of Jerry. I have a feeling thus was a John Scher production. Voodoonola has a bunch of full show videos from Scher produced GD/Garcia shows at the Capital, Roosevelt Stadium, etc. My daughter is good friends with his daughter, I'm going to see what I can find out. 8. I went to check out some '82 or '83 shows on Voodoonola's YouTube feed. And I came across this, Roosevelt Stadium, 8-4-76. The complete show in video, paired to the soundboard audio. I was there with all my friends, so of course I spent the night watching through the first set. I remember it well. Who the heck is Voodoonola and how does he/she gets access to these complete show videos? I may never know, but I am grateful! http://youtu.be/dhXCIrQsCxw
  9. Me too! This was a huge album among my friends during our high school years. Someone had the colored album, recently bought a used copy. Saw him 2x in the last few years, most recently last spring. Great times. He tells the story of how he was 19 when he wrote Feelin Alright. Still a cash cow for him. 19.
  10. I was " off the bus" from about '81-87, never listen to or possess any shows from the early '80's era up to first coma and never before felt like I missed anything. But based on this chatter here i think I'm going to have to spend some time with '83.
  11. Went home last night and realized I already own this release. I almost bought it again yesterday. I may not have much of a memory but I guess I'm consistent.
  12. I've got lots of other musical events on my horizon, and more music at home than I have time to listen to. But I look forward to nothing more than seeing Wilco, so 2014 being potentially a Wilco-less concert year is something I will have to deal with, but it does bum me out. But in the scheme of things, that's nothing compared to what the Tweedy family will be going through in 2014, so no whining from me. The counter on my phone's start screen shows 491 days until Solid Sound. I can get through it.
  13. I have it. Highly recommend it. Five shows from May '77, other than the highly circulated Cornell, Buffalo, etc. Sound is excellent (that's an understatement), the packaging is great. Don't hesitate, get one of the last ones! In full disclosure (these things are not cheap), I bought the box primarily because I was at the St. Louis show that's included, and had never had a copy of that show. But I'm glad to have it.
  14. I'm interested in getting Vol. 2, No. 3, 1974 Wall of Sound, which is still available in disc. I used to always have that Louisville show on cassette, I know its a good one.
  15. Here they are, organized by decade, all available for digital download. http://www.dead.net/store/road-trips-decades?eml=dead/021814rtb
  16. Maybe I misunderstood the meaning, but I thought there were some band member posts over the last few months of tracks being put down in the Loft. I assumed that was for a Wilco album. Could have been, and on hold now. I find the silence after Sue's initial post, in which she writes of waiting for test results, to be chilling.
  17. Summer Teeth. Don't know if its underrated by Wilco fans, but the band does it play too often these days it seems to me. One of my favorites. Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
  18. Didn't Wilco play with Phil several years ago, outdoors in N. Cali? I seem to remember a YouTube video. Box of Rain, or Ripple? Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
  19. The Hells Angels boat cruise I believe this is. There's a story behind this show, I just don't remember what it is right now. A fund raiser for Sonny perhaps?
  20. My comment was merely based on the speculation in this topic.
  21. As much as I love Tweedy's solo shows, and I do love them, I'm looking for more Wilco music and Wilco tour. The concept that there won't be either until 2015 saddens me. As does of course the news about Sue (and the silence since her initial post). Which makes me wonder how much we'll see of Tweedy or Wilco in the coming months.
