  1. I don't have the physical space for it, but I don't feel like I really *have it* unless I have the physical media to hold and look at. I am someone who will sit with the album cover and inserts or cd book most of the time when I'm listening. Which is why I don't have Sonos or have all my music stream or in some digital server. So for me, it's get the physical box or probably not at all. I wish the Baker's Dozen and this box weren't both teasing me at the same time. Damn.
  2. Complete shows on 19 discs! Now I have a decision to make: this, or the complete Phish Baker's Dozen, both, or neither??? Hmm...
  3. This would be sweet. I used to have the Vancouver show on cassette. Always a fave.
  4. The LSD tour: Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakum

  6. Byrne played first weekend of JazzFest, I went second weekend. Folks on the JazzFest forum were raving about his set. Comments like "Single best set I've seen in 31 years of going to JazzFest" were not uncommon. Here's a recent pro-shot full set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9Xi2AdpEDU

  8. Glad I got the vinyl. Even though it’s only a single lp, it’s packaged as if it were a double, which opens to an aluminum foil looking inside with all the lyrics and credits written out. Cool look. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone listen to Tell Me How You Really Feel? I gave my vinyl a first listen this afternoon and, whoa, this album is killer! Courtney taking it to the next (or second or third) level with the songwriting, with her unique voice and perspective. Super impressed! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. One reason I would never get one!
  11. I never would, but just to play along: "Sort on long term goals"
  12. The Radiators, at Tipitina's Heading to New Orleans today for JazzFest. Other than Jason Isbell and Beck on Friday, don't know who I'll be seeing at the Fairgrounds during the day. But the nights are set: Radiators tonight Daze Between Band (Eric Krasno, Dave Schools, Duane Trucks, Marcus King) at the Howlin Wolf on Thursday Gov't Mule at the Saenger on Friday JRAD on Saturday and hopefully Sonny Landreth and Tab Benoit at the Rock n Bowl on Sunday (if I'm still standing)
  13. “I’ve always wondered what a career ending show would be like. Here it is.” Such a fun night. Summerteeth and On and On and On. Well worth the trip in from Boston. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. I have a hard time concluding what it the "best" anything. But R.E.M. is certainly in the discussion, and makes my list of "greatest" American bands. Which may be a list of only 2 or 3. I was a young lawyer working in downtown Boston when I first heard Radio Free Europe on the BC college radio station. Within a few days I went over to the Harvard Coop record store at 1 Federal Street (I was a frequent shopper there) and picked up Murmur. Still remember bringing it back to the office and another associate asked who they were and all I had to say was "Radio Free Europe" and he knew. I was hook
  20. Dave's Picks Vol. 26 announced as Alburquerque, 11-17-71. Never heard it but I'll never complain about a late '71 show. Or any '71 show for that matter.
