  1. There's a discussion going on over in the Solid Sound '19 group about "Jeff" dropping TMM. Apparently there's nothing in the public domain about this. Also not clear if this refers to just JT or Wilco too. Anyone with knowledge in a position to speak to this?
  2. Lucinda Williams, Car Wheels 20th anniversary tour.
  3. Totally agree about 9-20. It was a synchronicity of good fortune that got me down from Boston that day to 13th row dead center Arista seats. Every listen I give to this show reaffirms how magical the night was. There's never a moment of "well, that sounded better that night than it does now.' I'll differ on what the future held for the band. I thought the Boston '91 run was fantastic. There was no "9-20-90" show (but hey, 9-20 stands alone), but I thought the entire run was spectacular, as did everyone I went with. I always consider Boston '91 as their last great run. But I get that YMMV.
  4. Now playing on Sirius GD channel is MSG 9-20-90. One of my favorites, probably the best single second set I ever caught. Also a lot of GD type great things happened that night to make it one of the most memorable nights for me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I can't remember ever seeing a second set LLR. I will have to check the database, but I am drawing a blank on that. I saw zero shows after Boston March 1981 until Providence September 1987.
  6. Thanks for the report, I missed the live stream. It's entirely possible I'm having a "stupid" morning, but I couldn't find the show streaming on the Live From Here site. The most current show is 10/20. But I did find a couple of the songs on the Live from Here channel on YouTube. Some Birds and Let's Go Rain. Unfortunately not Hell is Chrome.
  7. Fair question, and one that goes through my mind with each release. They have been shrewd enough to start each year with a highly desired show that sucks me in for the subscription, and Swing Aud. fits the bill.
  8. I still have barely scratched the surface of the Pacific Northwest box. Same with the R.E.M. BBC box. So, like the last several years I tell myself I'm not going to subscribe next year, and then I immediately subscribed after watching the video this morning. Addiction?
  9. Dave's Picks 2019 subscription and the first release Vol. 29 announced. A great show, Swing Aud. 2/26/77. http://www.dead.net/almanac?eml=2018October25/4458581/6131962&etsubid=27625223
  10. Yeah, but you got the cool photos!
  11. Saw that. Dave recently released a July '76 show from SF. Other than the total fun of being at this Passaic and Beacon shows, not my favorite era of GD music in retrospect, but I have the subscription so I'll check it out.
  12. I caught a lot of the second set of Oakland 8-5-79 on Sirius in my car yesterday. I thought it was outstanding. Not sure I had ever spent much time listening to that show.
  13. I noticed the Wilco photo staring right at me. Can't make out the other posters.
  14. Ha! I knew the photo you posted on Instagram couldn’t have been all of it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. My box was delivered to my office yesterday but I was out for the Jewish holiday. I'm in today and it is still sitting unopened. Good thing I have my car with me, that would be a bear to carry home on the train I'm going to try to resist having my first listens of each show be on my phone or iPod. These shows are going to deserve the full home system, but that's going to take me a lot longer to get through. We'll see if I can resist.
  16. I always get a kick when I flip to the GD channel and hear something from a show I was at. Today’s edition: U.S. Blues from the Beacon, June 14, 1976. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Unfortunately looks like I'll be missing them in Boston. Dang.
  18. I got a shipping notice email from the Grateful Dead Store.
  19. I saw that too. Don't remember if I saw it on FB or Instagram. Very cryptic, but must mean a live release from some BBC performance is imminent.
  20. Huge bummer for all the fans who traveled from far and wide, and those who spent tons of $$ to rent RV's. Always good to listen to Billy Breathes. There was a recent podcase celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of BB, they had Trey on the phone for about an hour talking about it. Great stuff.
