  3. Hoping this is #fakenews from TMZ, but here it is: Petty found in full cardiac arrest http://www.tmz.com/2017/10/02/tom-petty-found-unconscious-full-cardiac-arrest/
  4. On the topic of the sitting/standing divide, I usually check the Twitter machine on the nights Wilco is playing to see some photos, videos and share in the joy of those attending. When I did that last night I noticed some sitters complaining about some standers, in real time while the show was going on. These folks were way more interested in commenting on the standing v. sitting issue than anything about the show. Really people? Full disclosure, I'm firmly in the camp of "it's a rock show, everyone should stand and move," especially on the floor. (but don't get agitated at me, you sitting pe
  5. My buddy Bob got a good recording of this set. I'm listening to Freak Train right now. It's up on btree.etree. I can hook you up if you don't do the btree thing.
  6. Handshake Drugs! Is that the first time played in a very long time? I've been missing that tune.
  7. What were they doing in 1999, and what are they doing now??? I love that album. Most of my Wilco listening is live stuff, but Summerteeth gets regular play. Great album to my ears.
  8. Nice! Not on that board, but I will be getting there pronto. Wonder if they are also posted at the FB fan page Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I'm not familiar with all his albums, but I really like Wakin on a Pretty Daze (especially the almost title song) and b'lieve I'm goin down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd0K76H7sU8
  10. I was fortunate to catch his pop up set inside one of the galleries. Actually, I liked it better than his main set. I have some photos from the pop up set, but the files are too large to share here (1mb max).
  11. I second that emotion Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I've never had any interest in seeing his solo band, but after listening to this podcast, and seeing that lineup (wow!), I'm in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Steven Hyden's latest podcast at Celebration Rock is an interview with Mike Gordon. Mike is a very interesting and chatty guy! https://audioboom.com/channel/celebration-rock
  14. Thanks for the recommendation. Between work, listening to music, the New Yorker, Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and all the tv shows I try to keep up with, I have a hard time reading books. But I will try to get to this on my next vacation.
  15. Thanks for the pointer. Lots of titles I'd want to read there. One I know I won't be reading is Mr. Tinnitus Photography's favorite, the Master of Reality book. As I've told Tim, my first rock concert was Sabbath at the Academy of Music on the Master of Reality tour. And I've spent the last 37 years wondering why!
  16. Thanks for this topic. I'm not familiar with this series. Are these hard copy books? I'll have to start reading!
  17. Nice to see VC will be well represented at Arcade Fire tonight. Our seats are in Loge 21. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I just booked Hotel340. Looks nice, walking distance.
  19. Any suggestions for a nice hotel in walking distance to the Palace in St. Paul?
  20. Here in Boston on Friday. Not a huge fan, but it's a show I can see with my wife which makes it fun. We caught them last time they were here. Have fun!
