That thought never occurred to me. Heaven forbid. I had bought my tickets and booked my trip before Wilco was even announced, but I would be hugely disappointed if this morphed into something other than Wilco playing 2 days at Lockn.

Got home too late to do the webcast. Listened to the end of Box on the ustream. Did Nels play in the first set?

Wtf is up with Exene?? I've been a fan forever, but this is so out of whack. Another instance where its best not to know too much about your musical hero's politics, but I can't separate the 2.

I agree. As much of a Jerry fan as I am, and as much as he meant to the entire GD gestalt, the bottom line for me is the songbook. I love the songs and the music. There's absolutely no reason these songs should die with Jerry. I don't get that at all. I'm really happy to go out and hear a night of well played GD music. I saw Warren and the Boston Pops last week, fantastic. Furthur and Phil and Friends qualify as well played GD music for me. I also don't get the JK bashing, but to each their own. I think his playing and singing fits right in with the GD music. I'd rather hear him sing J

Can't say I've seen any, but I suspect it will be more dependent on the particular venue. Given the extent of technical upgrades invested in the Cap, I suspect these will be quite good. Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk

A day late with this, but I saw Dave Mason's Traffic Jam last night. Fun show, great collection of songs, and his guitar playing is still fantastic.

Agree, I love this album. I don't think it takes a back seat to anything in their catalogue. And those 2 songs are my highlights as well, particularly Primer Coat, which could be the single best new song I've heard all year. Thee lyrics and that story get me in the gut, and then that guitar hook on top of those lyrics. Exactly what good rock n roll is supposed to do. They played both when I saw them in Boston.

A free show at LL Bean? I'll be on vacation with the family, two summers ago I left vacation to catch Wilco at MassMoCA and Hartford, but I think I'll have to miss this one. Too bad. Wonder how many people they will let in for this?

"Not to mention" indeed (cough) (cougn) (cough)!!! And let's just mention Jack and Jorma, TTB, Bustle in Your Hedgerow. All over it and I don't live anywhere near Virginia, unless you consider Boston near Arrington VA. So get on it Mr. Heartbreak! Petty is the least of the attractions for me.

I am new to the DBT over the last several months ( found my way to them after listening to Southeastern) so I don't have years of experience with them although I do have most of the catalogue now, I think the new album is excellent.
