"Not to mention" indeed (cough) (cougn) (cough)!!! And let's just mention Jack and Jorma, TTB, Bustle in Your Hedgerow. All over it and I don't live anywhere near Virginia, unless you consider Boston near Arrington VA. So get on it Mr. Heartbreak! Petty is the least of the attractions for me.

I am new to the DBT over the last several months ( found my way to them after listening to Southeastern) so I don't have years of experience with them although I do have most of the catalogue now, I think the new album is excellent. I don't know what their fan base thinks, but I love it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Another good installment of Stormy Mondays on Jambase. Looks like they're going to do a multi-series retrospective of GD 1974, here's the first installment to download. Love these Stormy Monday compilations. Fall '73, Mile High in '73, http://www.jambase.com/Articles/121706/Stormy-Mondays-Grateful-Dead-1974-Retrospective-Part-1

The Fox Theater is truly Fabulous! I was in St. Louis from '75-79, not early enough to catch the Dead shows there, but I saw a number of shows before they closed it down before I graduated: Springsteen and Little Feat come to mind right away. A sister theater of the Atlanta Fox. So glad to hear it's up and running with music, they must have spent a lot of $$ to restore it I assume.

I'd be worried but for the fact Wilco's announced for Lockn' in September. So I take comfort that there will be Wilco in '14. all the members are taking lots of time to do their own things, glad to see that Tweedy will be releasing new music. It's the son in the band thing that weirds me out a little. Phil Lesh has done the same, I've never heard of anyone raving about that configuration of his band. Bottom line is new Tweedy songs should be a good thing.

Very cool stuff to read, thanks for sharing. I said it at the time and I still believe it: if I were at a Wilco show and they went into a Dark Star, I would have fallen out of my chair. No doubt. I'm going to Lockn', really hoping for some Wilco and Weir collaborations. Or Wilco and Phil. Then again, Wilco and Winwood would be awesomely sweet. Heard Dark Star performed tonight in Boston's Symphony Hall. Warren Haynes and the Pops doing a night of Jerry music. Hearing 2 hours of GD music in Symphony Hall was fantastic.

Nice review of the Television show in today's Globe. Could've used some of your photos though. http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/music/2014/05/13/television-tuned-paradise/77Ti8jwVkCRsrL2NsHIk0H/story.html

I've seen Rich at shows, and met him in the pit next to you at Drive By Truckers. Now I know the secret handshake tonight I'm going to ask Farmer if I can hold it (wearing my Wolf tee shirt should get me some consideration) Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk

Had me laughing at my desk. BTW, your friend with the guitar looks very familiar. Without asking for any private info, would love to hear the story how he got to have a 1 on 1 with Wolf.

Hysterical!

Sweet! Hook me up! Please. As close as I'm likely to come is wearing my Wolf tee shirt (one of my prized possessions in my tee shirt collection)

Opening night in Boston was last night. Check this out: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/121656/Opening-Night-Jerry-Garcia-Symphonic-Celebration

Warren Haynes and the Boston Pops performing a Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration, at Boston Symphony Hall. Very psyched for this show. Warren playing the Wolf guitar, which is reason enough to get me there.

Should have gone to Television. B's sucked.

See my post in Live Tonight!. Exhausted from the weekend, really busy at work, but the real kicker was I missed all of Saturday's game and didn't want to miss it tonight. If it goes 7, I will miss Wednesday's game cause I'll be seeing Warren Haynes and the Pops. I really really really hope they close it out tonight.

I would have to fire my dish provider if I couldn't watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. Best 2 months in sports for me.
-
I voted (successfully) for Marquee Moon, and just now gave up my ticket to see Television tonight
-
I just (reluctantly) got rid of my ticket. I'm exhausted from the weekend and didn't think I could take a night of standing, but really because I missed the B's game Saturday, if it goes 7, I will miss the game on Wednesday (seeing Warren Haynes and the Boston Pops) so could not stand to miss another B's v. Habs game. But for the game I'd rally for Television. But so it goes. Have fun, I'm sure it will be great.

That is great! Yes a very intriguing teaser. I'm tempted to ask where this came from, but I know I shouldn't. But would love to see more.

Warren is leaving at the end of the year. He's been clear about that.
