  1. Tampa CC!!!!!!!! Mother's Day present to myself.
  2. A good friend of mine put this site together; it's an encyclopedic collection of all things Rush. www.rushvault.com Enjoy.
  3. We have had a turtle for nearly five years now. He's an Easern Box Turtle my daughter adopted via a local rescue group. He was one of a group turtles that someone was hoarding; he has only three claws (victim of a lawn mower hit-and-run apparently), and can't be released into the wild. We've had gerbils and fish, too, and by far, Turtelini is the easiest to deal with, least expensive to feed, and probably the most intelligent. Plus, he hibernates from December to March, so we all get a break. He loves roasted sweet potatoes (who doesn't?) and earthworm, slugs, or anything else he can dig
  4. Sometime last week, www.solidsoundfestival.com removed all content related to SSF 2011. Only an email sign-up remains. Signs of life?
  5. Outtasite (Outta Mind) at Sports Authority in Alexandria, Virginia yesterday afternoon!
  6. Many years ago, my best friend from college began dating my next door neighbor. Turns out, he had grown up in Belleville and remembered riding the school bus with Jeff. He lent me his copy of AM. Neighbor moved. Took best friend with him. Still have CD.
  7. We're in FL still catching up with family, estranged fathers, ex-mothers-in-law, rambunctious nephews. Looking forward to returning home for New Year's Eve and some peace on earth. Best wishes, Donna (and all VCers) for 2012.
  8. Kinda interesting that Lagunitas is a "partner" at SS2....
  9. I took the train last year. The closest Amtrak station is Albany-Rensselaer, about 40 miles west of MassMOCA. You can take a cab across the river and rent a car in town. There's supposed to be a car rental agency at the Amtrak station, but they have limited hours and seemed deserted last year. Correction: The Pittsfield Amtrak station is closer to North Adams, but it's a 7 hour trip from NYC to Pittsfield via Amtrak. NYC to Albany is only about 2 1/2.
  10. True. btw, the contestant RJ was talking to is here: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/realityrocks/422399/idol-paul-mcdonaldhis-amazing-technicolor-dreamsuit/ threads collide.
  11. I'm not sure either. But what does it mean that Randy Jackson just mentioned Wilco on American Idol?
  12. Thanks, everyone for your suggestions! The Route 1 trip sounds like a winner... You had me at "Noank"
  13. It was tough leaving Massachusetts after the festival last year and heading right back to work. This year, I wised up and planned for a few extra days to explore New England. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Mon/Tues/Wed roadtrip from North Adams? Need to be in Albany in time for the flight home Wednesday afternoon. Thinking copious amounts of lobster roll...
  14. Breakfast would be fun - I'll have to do some heavy reading to prepare (if you know what I mean). Tim's a trip! I would have liked to stay there again, but the house was booked solid weeks ago. Glad you like the poster. "Hi" to Allison
  15. Beth here. We stayed at the House on Main Street last year. Weren't able to book there again, but we found a place nearby.
  16. Hi, Dude. Met you at the first SSF. I was able to get a pair of the "Return Trip" tickets - signed in to the ticketing site at 10:25 and probably just got lucky. Can't wait for June!
