Heart full of holes

Here's my little backyard pond. This year I splurged on a tropical lily that's put out at least a dozen gorgeous flowers so far. Five or six leopard frogs have taken up residence, and I saw a snake checking it out a couple of weeks ago (apparently leopard frogs are delicious). There are no fish this year due to a very persistent raccoon that wrecked the place last summer. There's also a bed of black-eyed susan that attracts pairs of goldfinches. In a couple of weeks they will have decimated the flowers...

I was wondering about him, too. I imagine Spencer bringing him a souvenir that says "My brother went on tour and all I got was this tee shirt." :-P

Wow indeed. That was an amazing evening. It felt like we were gathered around the campfire. Misunderstood left me speechless. Tonight is in my top 5.

What a fun show. Jeff was as happy as I can ever remember seeing him and obviously pleased as punch that Spencer is along for the ride. Loved World Away and Diamond Light. I'm guessing that DL is where the sitar comes into play, although it wasn't used live. I was on the rail (there was one). Nice chatting with Paul before the show. On to DC!

Nice! I like the weirdness too.

So excited these shows are almost upon us! Those of you on the fence about the Pittsburgh show - the weekend is shaping up to be gorgeous weather-wise (an unusual occurrence for the Arts Fest). Hope to see some of you there.

I caught AD at the Hamilton in DC a few days ago. They put on a terrific show. Even my non-Wilco friends were highly impressed. I've seen them four or five times now, and this was definitely my favorite performance. Nice backing band and Pat and John have such wonderful harmony. Don't miss them if you have a chance to go.
