Same. Hodgman and Tig Notaro were standouts.

I'm into genealogy. I find it endlessly fascinating digging into census records, military records, etc. It's led me on a couple of interesting road trips to visit cemeteries and land once owned by my ancestors. Also, I spend way too much time playing sudoku.

WYEP Pittsburgh has a "music madness" bracket going, and Wilco is still hanging in there. No prize - just bragging rights. If you want to help them overtake Prince, like WYEP's tweet before 6 PM eastern. With a little luck, they'll move on to Round 4.

Really enjoyed Fleabag. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is terrific. Crashing looks good, too. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip.

Section MNFL2R Row J Seat 202-204 Hard tickets were delivered to me yesterday. -
I just got an email from Higher Ground that says early bird pricing ends tomorrow 12/14 at midnight. That seems a lot earlier than past years. Demand must be high!

Has any US citizens here visit Cuba?
Heart full of holes replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
There was a Rick Steves lecture on PBS recently about his trip to Cuba. It was very informative and looks like a fascinating place. You might find it on youtube. -
It looks like there's a new option this year for "residence hall lodging" in North Adams. Scroll down on the ticket order page past the camping. Might work for you. I haven't had any trouble finding parking in town or at the shuttle lots.
-
Is that residence hall lodging new this year? Looks like a good option.

I feel exactly the same. Sorry to be sappy, but this is my happy place. quote name="twoshedsjackson" post="1598052" timestamp="1478728462"] Looking forward to Solid Sound even more today. It's probably the only place I'll be reasonably sure I'm not completely surrounded by fascist assholes.

I could really use a Solid Sound update today, Wilco.

Anyone know if they're streaming tomorrow night too? -

Pigtails actually. A little Willie Nelson-ish. -
Maybe I'm taking it too literally, but the Shows page on Wilcoworld lists 3 nights

The party at Songbyrd in D.C. was fun. They were playing video from the Tiny Desk Concert and other shows while spinning Schmilco. Maybe fifty people there, but they definitely weren't all there for Wilco. A person at my table won a copy of the vinyl and they gave away a slip mat that I would have liked to have. Apparently UPS failed to deliver their copies of the album in time for the party, but we have been promised a chance to win one via email tomorrow. Wish me luck. It's the pink vinyl :-D

Happy 49th birthday to Jeff Tweedy!!
Heart full of holes replied to Magnetized's topic in Just A Fan
Happy Birthday, Jeff! Thanks for the amazing show last Sunday and for being my sonic shoulder for all these years. -
I'm excited about the return of rugby to the Olympics, especially in sevens.
-
So, what do you think would have been good album titles? Too early to speculate on Schmilco, but how about the other releases?

Last week I saved Wilco HQ contact info and noticed that the vCard file was called Schmilco.vcf . Way to bury a hint, Wilco!
