Bragg and Tweedy were friendly enough to share a stage not too long ago, and as far as I know, they didn't box. http://www.wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=1253

Now I remember why I was an independent all those years.

http://www.spinner.com/2010/03/20/billy-bragg-talks-about-jail-guitar-doors-usa-new-album-with-wilco/ Interviewer: I really loved your work with Wilco on the Woody Guthrie material. Billy Bragg: Well, there's another 12 tracks that you haven't heard yet. We're trying to get them out for Woody's centenary in 2012.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbo-RNw1Nu0 Ruby, let down your golden hair When I'm standing at the bottom of your stairs Ruby, I can see your TV on But the people there, they flicker and they're gone So let down your golden hair for me tonight Let down your golden hair for me to climb Just like an old-time telegraph man I came here with a simple job to do 'Cause that news coming down the wire Says that your head's on fire And I'm trying to get a message through to you Ruby, you ain't lonely yet With your crystal and your Russian cigarette Ruby, haven't you heard before? nice bonus tracks: Another Man's Done Gone How to Fight Loneliness Theologians Kamera Just a Kid Monday Outtasite (Outta Mind) I'm a Wheel My only complaint with a set this massive is having to do a hell of a lot of getting up to flip and change records. I guess it will work my abs a little.

Awful, just awful. I'm completely stunned and heartbroken.

Great news. Can't wait to get my grubby paws on a copy.

Delta Spirit have a new one coming out in May, "History from Below". If it's anywhere near as good as "Ode to Sunshine", it should be very good indeed.

Not that everyone would pay attention, but maybe Jeff needs someone to announce the videotaping policy before he goes out or before Wilco plays. If people do it after that, they are truly being assholes, versus simply being a little ignorant.

Sweet summer night and I'm stripped to my sheets Foreman is leaking; my AC squeaks And a voice from the clock says "You're not gonna get tired" My bed is a pool and the wall's on fire Soak my head in the sink for a while It chills my neck and it makes me smile But my bones gotta move and my skin's gotta breathe You pick up the phone and I'm so relieved You slide down the stairs to the eager street And the sun is left with slippery feet And I want to walk around with you And I want to walk around with you (And be here with you) It doesn't really matter, I'll go where you feel Home for the b

Yeah, I honestly can't recall what his exact words were, but he moved on pretty quickly.

Compared to Friday's show, it was definitely the crazier / more spontaneous show of the two. Lots o' drunk St. Patty's early revelers clogging up the streets near the Vic, despite the miserable weather, and some of that spilled over into the crowd. Plenty of drunken requests, talkers, videotapers (despite Jeff's repeated admonishments to stop videotaping), crazed drunken women shouting completely random nonsensical things, etc. Some great songs heard last night - Shakin' Sugar / Alone sounded great, and I loved hearing my request (Chinese Apple). It was kinda lame when Jeff opened the crow

Me neither, complete with a "Monkey Walk" afterwards. Broken Arrow sounded great, too, plus The Losing End, lots of Neil last night. He was right in front of me and Gewee when he went off the PA for Dreamer in my Dreams and Acuff Rose, I dare say we were getting a "spittle shower" of sorts during it. Such an awesome show. Back for Round 2 today and getting an early song request in, but it's supposed to be another miserable day of rain and wind. "Sprinter" (not quite Spring, not quite Winter) in Chicago sucks.

I think you mean Jamie Lidell.
