There is a pretty decent blog entry from Rolling Stone with video of Jeff talking to the camera about the heat three years ago: http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...stone-magazine/

I missed half a song last night. Four hour drive from Chicago with bad traffic. You can make it work. Wilco goes on about an hour after Low takes the stage.

I thought it was a good show. The encores were really swell. I loved the way they broke into Side With the Seeds with a keyboard intro. I'm not sure about the version of Spiders they are playing right now - there is so much stuff going on and it isn't very tight, but it is cool at the same time. I guess I'm still trying to figure out what each band member was playing. I thought the Shake it Off "Whoo"'s echo'd what the crowd is asked to do in Kingpin which was cool. I think that should be a new participation part at shows...

any special wilco related guests? -
When did the hair go grey?

I thought it was a little north of there. Closer to Irving Park/ Montrose.
-
That may be the best encore set they could play. Would have loved to see that.

I wonder if Robbie Fulks taught him dancing queen? Possibly at a Letters to Santa show?

That's cool. The Heartless Bastards are quite good.

The two tracks are Theologians Live from the Vic and a non-album track called One True Vine

It is kind of annoying that they book these kind of shows...
-
I sense that their popularity is waining even as they become more regonizable to most people. I bet we'll be able to see them at the Vic pretty regularly. The question really is, will they ever play a show at a place like Martyrs again?

Thank you Wilco for broadcasting. We are so lucky the band does this. I hope they move to video some day as well. Did anyone else catch the Walken lyrics change? I hope smrt was listening and did. Jeff's a really nice husband.

8-20-1995 HORDE tour in Michigan. My friend and I went over to the second stage to watch the band play and Chris and Rich Robinson walked right in front of us to go watch. I was a huge Black Crowes fan and thought, if they are watching, there must be something to this band. I thought they were good enough, but wasn't really hooked at the time. I saw them again in 1999 and then many many times since then.

Jack isn't in enough scenes this season. that's the problem i have.

Pretty solid setlist. She read lyrics when I saw her 3-4 years ago. I think it is part of the gig...
-
Aren't both festivals multiple days? Couldn't any band play both? Heck Phil Collins played two continents for Live Aid back in the day...
-
Sounds very fun. So does Jack know how to play bag pipes?

I've just started to purchase some of the classics on ITUNES. Any recommendations? I recently bought: Twist and Shout (Isley Brothers) Gloria (Shadow of the Night) Who Do You Love? (Bo Diddley) Devil With a Blue Dress On (Mitch Ryder) Cherry Cherry (Diamond) Mony Mony (Tomy James) I'm Into Something Good (Herman's Hermits) Looking for other good stuff...

Jeff seems to love playing this song. I bet we can expect to see this one for a while.

They have to at least play at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, don't they? I can't stand the thought of Velvet Revolver ruining it.
