To prevent people from reselling tickets above face value. I guess they don't have a policy, but they sure ask nicely.

I was looking around Craigslist. If somebody has tickets listed for over face and you hit the prohibited link to the right do they do anything about it?

Looks like they sold out all five. So...Why wouldn't they? Maybe make it an open rehearsal and charge $15??

go to ticketmaster to do the xrt presale. You'll need their password. Which has been posted on this board in the winter residency thread and can be purchased on ebay (???)

I can't believe how many people are buying 5 day tickets. The fact that people are paying for a password for the five day passes is even more shocking.

I thought the Iowa tickets were going on sale Friday??? Just saw that they were on sale and grabbed a ticket.

Anybody else thinking that Saturday night is going to be the worst crowd of the five nights?

It is not a matter of how much time they have. If they want to play every song, they could, but does the band really want to play Old Maid, Just a Kid, Dash 7, Dreamer in my Dreams...

I like how it says "Winter Residency 2008," does this mean it is an annual thing?

It was really fun watching the guys yesterday. To hear Jeff say that it was his pleasure to introduce the next President of the United States was pretty cool. Jill S was a huge pleasant surprise. I have to get some of her music. Is anybody into her? Any recommendations? I thought the guys fro 3eb were aweful and Macy Gray was a bit of a flop as well.

Does anybody have the Blisters setlist? They were very fun to watch. Are all their songs covers or are some original. One had a Spiders feel to it...

Will Wilco attend is the question. They aren't on tour this year on that date...

Only other solid information I have is Doors at 7 show at 7:45. Can't imagine Jeff playing more than a handful of songs...

They are pretty all pretty much Second City members or alumni. A bunch have been doing it for so long that even though they've moved to LA and hit the big time (Sonic Burger/ Stranger Than Fiction) they flew in. Most of the 24 hour ers have been doing it for multiple years. I don't think you can catch them in their own show together. Like Heather said, it is a one night a year thing.

I left at two and have some additional comments. Jeff was in great spirits and is to be commended for coming to this event year after year and raising so much money. Three living room auctions went for $20,000 each. Just awesome that people support this cause and that amount keeps going up year after year. I know there are people on this list involved - way to go! The gentleman in the back was able to play along with Jeff on what looked like an invisible kazoo during his song! Very coordinated. To give everyone the idea, Sunken Treasure cost between $200-300. California Stars went for $800 a

Jeff was mic'd for Someone Else's Song, but at the highest notes he would lean away from the mic and you could actually hear him much clearer. I have seen him do tha before (at the end of I Am Trying to Break Your Heart when solo for example) and it is really neat.
