I love this song now. Didn't really get the live versions (including seeing it performed myself at Lolla), but I'm really liking the album version with the non Handshake d/Impossible G predictable ending. I'm happy they left this on the album.

I love the fact that you can buy tickets through Higher Ground for an all you can eat bbq prior to the show in Lowell, MA. http://www.highergroundmusic.com/wilco/lowell/ http://highergroundpresents.frontgateticke.../browse.php?l=A

You are entitled to your opinion. I don't agree at all. The shows were spectacular. I don't think there is a better intro into spiders anywhere. The band is so focused on these performances. Night three was easily the best Wilco show I've ever seen (32 Wilco shows). Rolling Stone (I realize they aren't held in the highest regard here) had this in their best live albums list recently.

Bad news Maybe he'll change his mind.

I think I overdosed on A Ghost is Born at this show. Although still jealous that night two got an I'm a Wheel closer.

Awesome story. I'm glad somebody bought that and we get to share the experience in a way. -

Your thoughts match mine. Camer work drove me crazy. Great venues, great performance, great sound. But the shots from the pit looking up Jeff Tweedy's nose got old. Looking forward to seeing the extra songs and getting the live show this weekend.

I saw them open for Andrew Bird in Chicago Friday. They were a four piece. Mosty instrumental. Unique. Foreign sounding.

Theater is selling some singles on their site as of 10:30 Central Monday night...

I'm guessing based on these dates that the album comes out June 23 while they are in LA. Maybe a Conan appearance? Lots of tour dates in 2009!

They all have bum reputations right now so this is cool that Wilco would play their first gig in El Paso.

Great time to be playing a border town.

Jacksonville, OR is pretty remote, isn't it? Looks like the closest big city is about 4 hours away? Venue's website even says "Britt is a convenient day's drive from Seattle or San Francisco" Looks Ravinia esque. Interesting.

Found a ticket. Thread can be locked/ deleted.

Whatever you do, don't watch it again to find out. Don't do it!

Yes - I made the mistake of watching. Tony is in it.

Great news. Maybe the Black Crowes disaster was the start of end? That blew my mind (hadn't listed to an album they reviewed).

I've seen a couple comments regarding the tightness on the Monday clip. the entire movie is like that. Lots of shots from the pit looking up Jeff's nose or just way too close in on his guitar or face.

Which Bands have you seen the most live?
nalafej replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
Wilco - 31 Jeff Tweedy - 17 Black Crowes - 19 -
Hopefully the bonus tracks aren't filmed from the band's feet like the rest of the movie. Felt like I was in the front row while watching the movie last night. With the exception of the soundcheck songs included.

I went too last night. Great show. I was really impressed with the way he wove it all together. I will see him when he comes around again for sure. Great crowd for Todd too. It made me happy to see so many people at a show like that who knew a lot of the material. What was the name of the opening song (slim chance?)
