  1. It is really great news. She/ they are so good.
  2. Hopefully they'll streem it online like they did with the Yankee Australia/ More Like the Moon cd...
  3. That is a great story. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't imagine the night you had that night (although now I kind of can). What a cool thing.
  4. I think they do a pretty good job. The internet is the big problem. Side with the Seeds has a great intro right now. Spiders is really different than the last tour, and neither of those versions match the pre AGIB versions. Cars Can't Escape with feedback at the end into Spiders? That is changing it up. I actually looked at last nights set compared to the previous show I saw (Indianapolis) and it was really different. And last night compared to Kicking Television isn't even close to the same set.
  5. I think a kid would enjoy. Mostly upbeat music. They jump all over the place and wear sunglasses.
  6. Golden Oldies tonight They played Box Full of Letters, Casino Queen, Too Far Apart, Red Eyed and Blue, I Got You, Misunderstood, Outta Mind, A Shot in the Arm, War on War, I'm the Man Who Loves You, I am Trying to Break Your Heart, Cars Can't Escape, Jesus Etc, Pot Kettle Black, Heavy Metal Drummer, Spiders, Hummingbird, Handshake Drugs, You Are My Face, Hate it Here, Walken, On & On & On, Impossible Germany, Side with The Seeds, California Stars A great night for Wilco and a great night for Chicago. They nailed it.
  7. Presale is going on. Very excited for the show.
  8. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/04003EF0...link=tm_home_h3 Click on the link to the venue. No row or seat # info though... My friend got 202
  9. Jeff would have been very happy at pitchfork last weekend...
  10. There is a pretty decent blog entry from Rolling Stone with video of Jeff talking to the camera about the heat three years ago: http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...stone-magazine/
  11. I missed half a song last night. Four hour drive from Chicago with bad traffic. You can make it work. Wilco goes on about an hour after Low takes the stage.
  12. I thought it was a good show. The encores were really swell. I loved the way they broke into Side With the Seeds with a keyboard intro. I'm not sure about the version of Spiders they are playing right now - there is so much stuff going on and it isn't very tight, but it is cool at the same time. I guess I'm still trying to figure out what each band member was playing. I thought the Shake it Off "Whoo"'s echo'd what the crowd is asked to do in Kingpin which was cool. I think that should be a new participation part at shows...
  13. I thought it was a little north of there. Closer to Irving Park/ Montrose.
  14. That may be the best encore set they could play. Would have loved to see that.
  15. I wonder if Robbie Fulks taught him dancing queen? Possibly at a Letters to Santa show?
  16. That's cool. The Heartless Bastards are quite good.
  17. That's cool. The Heartless Bastards are quite good.
  18. The two tracks are Theologians Live from the Vic and a non-album track called One True Vine
  19. It is kind of annoying that they book these kind of shows...
  20. I sense that their popularity is waining even as they become more regonizable to most people. I bet we'll be able to see them at the Vic pretty regularly. The question really is, will they ever play a show at a place like Martyrs again?
  21. Thank you Wilco for broadcasting. We are so lucky the band does this. I hope they move to video some day as well. Did anyone else catch the Walken lyrics change? I hope smrt was listening and did. Jeff's a really nice husband.
  22. 8-20-1995 HORDE tour in Michigan. My friend and I went over to the second stage to watch the band play and Chris and Rich Robinson walked right in front of us to go watch. I was a huge Black Crowes fan and thought, if they are watching, there must be something to this band. I thought they were good enough, but wasn't really hooked at the time. I saw them again in 1999 and then many many times since then.
