I listen to a ton of new music, but every few months I'll revisit Pet Sounds and I am always blown away at how fresh and unique it still sounds to me even in the context of current albums. I don't know that there are too many albums I don't "get." But if that also means albums I don't particularly care for after repeated listens, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Daydream Nation. Especially since it "should" be something I would enjoy, so to speak.

I have an in-law who uses it all the time. She also pronounces the "L" in salmon. I also have an aunt who pronounces "sandwich" like "sang-wich." Is this common somewhere?

Yeah, living in Texas, I hear it all the time and it drives me nuts. The other phrase I can't stand is "might could." As in, "I might could make it to the store before filling up with gas." I've only noticed it in north Texas (never heard it growing up in south Texas).

I like that new logo, but the typeface is horrendous.

This sounds dirty.

It's good because it comes as a surprise since no one would expect it. But it's a moving and powerful song to begin with, and if you listen with your eyes closed it's just not all that great. Especially after you listen to the original cast recording and hear the difference.

My thoughts exactly. Perhaps our standards are much too low to be proper Wilco fans.

I've only managed to hear one of these songs so far (Wilco the Song). My anticipation is at an all-time high.

Collinsworth is easily the smartest analyst on TV. It's a good replacement and an obvious one. As much as I'll miss Madden, having Collinsworth in the booth will be nice. I subscribed to Showtime this past year just to hear him on Inside the NFL.

Assuming they stream the album again, I would think they wouldn't start playing a lot of new stuff until that happens. Plus, there was a little bit of speculation on the webcast thread that they weren't going to play anything new because of the webcast. Maybe their way of not "officially" putting anything new out there themselves (as opposed to tapers at other shows). I don't know. I'm seeing them in June so I'm anticipating a pretty good amount of new stuff.
